How does your game represent Mode?
"Mode" inspired us to take the same basic premise and shift the player's experience according to the different genres they would play. Whether they are fighting the slug, running away from it, or having a dance off, we attempted to deliver a humorous and engaging experience that would be memorable for its different modes of play.
The initial pitch involved random switches between game genres triggered by changes in music, as if somebody was playing with a radio while you fought a monster. Over the last few weeks, we honed the concept into SLUG MODE.
We hope people have fun playing SLUG MODE, and we know that our team learned a lot throughout its development. Thanks again to Big Mode for inspiring us to put so much effort into the jam. It was a lot of fun and we hope Big Mode hosts another jam soon!

Great idea to combine different game modes into a single fleshed out boss fight. The presentation itself was top notch, fun game from beginning to end. Really well done!
I love this style of game + graphics-- No question about what you need to do, jut an urgency to do it!! I've been on dates exactly like this. I don't consider L. Melitensis a failure btw...

This was one of the better shifting games I've played so far in the jam! I liked the variety of minigames and I particularly enjoyed the dating sim portion. Good stuff~
I have a fear of snails and slugs.... This game was awesome! Although all the games were basic it was a huge risk to make a multiple game game and you pulled it off super well! The games get more intense as the game progresses also doesn't just feel like minigame simulator but like you're actually progressing through the game and having those dating sim intermissions to break up the action was also such a nice touch and the guy was also really funny! 100 points to SLUG MODE!

Wow, this is a super creative concept, and the execution doesn't disappoint! I got a real kick out of the dating segment, and the framing device of the cassette tape was a cool aesthetic choice. Great work!

This was wonderful! From the title screen, load screens and all the different games, I'm so impressed with the variety and polish. All the detail and various art styles are so cohesive and well done. Amazing game, great job!
Everything about this was well polished! The dating simulator was such a funny surprised. The quickly switching mini games reminded me of Wario Ware games, lots of fun. Only thing I could think of improving would be the green hill zone's mini game or more variety, great game thanks for your hard work!

Very fun, low key would like to see the Mr.Slug dating simulator as a full game!
Really enjoyed playing this! At first I was skeptical when I saw the typical shoot em up gameplay, but then really got into it as the modes switched and everything started tying together. Nicely polished and the style somehow just works!

This game has style! I don't have anything to give you feedback on since the game seems to do everything it set out to do. Solid game! Gives me Warioware vibes but more relaxed.

Impressive game. You packed a lot of unique gameplay into one game. The arrow keys for controls triggered me a bit though haha. I want a full DDR Slug spin off please.
Wow, this is a lot of work! I really like it, the different game modes are compactly combined, and at the same time they perfectly combine the style of the concept.
And I reeeeeally liked the musical accompaniment, it's very well chosen.
I lost already on the third round hahah, but I still got a lot of fun.♥
