I love the pixel art but the post processing fx werent easy on the eye and it was a bit difficult. The rest is great however.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for future projects!

very fun (pls check out my game)

Insane art, good polished! For me the boss was a bit hard tho.

The speed of the gameplay combined with these colors was quite confusing.   It looked really nice, but  while fighting it was way to hard to look at it.  The sounds fitted very well. But I think I was way too bad :D

Noted! Thanks for pointing it out!

i like the game but you made the boss to hard

Love these types of games, the execution of the attack and parry mechanic is great but sometimes it feels like the enemy attacks a bit too quickly. other than that i love the way you did the sprites

Amazing to say the least

Really awesome. I suck at it but love it either way. Great work!

This game is pretty good! I'd say it's quite well polished with a simple core mechanic of parrying and riposte. What I'd like to point out most:

I think you did the enemy design kind well to have well telegraphed attacks even with the limitation of 2D pixels. The attacks come in with a moment's delay before you know to parry. Overall leading to very great moments on parrying multiple successive strikes at once.

However, I'd say the game was perhaps a bit too difficult, from a game jam-standpoint. Even getting through the transition to phase two (with the red attacks), the platformer phase makes it hard as you can't block mid-air (or you can, I never succeeeded if that is the case).

Nevertheless, great game!

I love how this game looks. The aesthetic definitely drew me in. The parry mechanic is really cool  and executed well, but the game got very difficult post tutorial and I'm having trouble making it very far.  Definitely intriguing and fun enough for me to come back though! Hopefully I will beat the game eventually lol.

The Game looks great. The glow really adds to the effects. One improvement i would make is that when the player is moving to the left, the sprite could also flip to the left. That aside, a neat game.

great game mechanics. a bit hard with the scripted lava coming after you and him throwing balls at you while you're midair. might need a bit of balance on that part cuz i either die to him or the lava. or maybe i just need to git gud. either ways i can't wait to see more.
Edit: after further play, I finally beat it. great game, but the lava chasing, boss pushing you into the lava, and shooting projectiles while you're mid air you gets a bit annoying but after a while, i learned the patterns and beat it

Really enjoyed it! I loved how the LESS you attacked the MORE powerful your attacks became.

A beautiful, fun, and challenging experience!

Your style is awesome!

I see a lot of work here.

The theme... i don't get it ;/

Very cool theme feels like a mixture of Dead Cells, Hyper Light Drifter and Salt & Sanctuary. Would have been nice to play on windows as the frame rate was a bit choppy in-browser making parrying difficult. Very cool idea having parrying make your attacks do more damage meaning a more careful approach to combat.

Thanks for feedback! Now I regret not putting a download link. I guess I'll add it after the rating is over, so that if someone stumbles upon the game they'll be able to download it as well.
