The theme, "Nothing Can Go Wrong..." was a tough one. In this game, nothing can go wrong, no matter how small, or you will have to restart from night one.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Furniture models

This was the game I spent the most time on during the jam! I loved the challenge of getting everything perfect without jumpscares. Great job!

Developer

thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.

The idea and gameplay are very cool! This game makes me keeping my attention to details. But you should do (only my opinion):

  • Pressing with mouse in menu
  • Lowering base sensitivity (I turned sensitivity to the lowest and it's still was quite fast)
  • Allow players to use E and LMB as action button (becaus alarm keypad took my a while to understandthat I must press with LMB)
  • Is 3 night bugged? Or are there more than two frames?
Developer

yeah, there are always three frames on the wall, one is just farther down the wall. The sensitivity is set to a high amount for h to e download version, I forgot to change it for web. I agree about the interaction, I just ran out of time lol… great advice, thanks for all the feedback!!

I really liked playing this, the premise of locking up your house was cleverly done. It took a bit to get used to the movement, but all in all I found myself wanting to try again because of missing something while locking up. Would love to see more of this in the future. Good job. Rated.

This has a very polished look! But I could not play it because of too high mouse sensitivity - could not even look anywhere properly

Developer

A lot of people seem to be having that problem. I explained on the page that download is a lot smoother, but if you want to play the Web version, you can press Esc in game and adjust the sensitivity. Thanks anyway!

Very well made!  From the start, it was a very creepy experience that only kept building!  If I were to give any feedback, it'd be to maybe light up corners to other rooms/hallways (with lamps or wall lights, idk).  I was running along the wall for a while trying to find my way out of the living room haha.  Super amazing job though!

Developer

Thank you! I enjoyed your game as well.

The game is really well made, seriously! The visuals are amazing, the sounds used are so good ( I got jumpscared by opening the shoe rack close to the bedroom  :D ). I love how you limit the sight of view, and how you induce this creepy yet chill vibe. Really polished game! Good job!

Developer

Thanks so much!

You got me it! I did not survive long enough. I enjoyed the small details, audio effects, open toilet seat, switching off lights and other things.

An extremely polished entry, I really liked your attention to detail on things like:

  • scene transitions
  • mouse sensitivity options
  • dialogue skip
  • dialogue box pop-in

The sound design and colour choices are also really solid. Also, thanks for no jumpscares!

Developer

Thanks! glad you enjoyed.

Really cool game, I liked figuring out what I needed to do before heading to bed each night. I like the spooky atmosphere of the game a lot and appreciated that you weren't lying about the no jumpscares thing lol. I ended up dying on night 4, it'd be nice if you could retry from whatever night you died on last time or maybe be able to skip the phone dialog from talking to skippy and the cops to speed things up on subsequent playthrus. Great work on this!

Developer

Thank you! I watched your playthrough. (there's 3 frames on that wall lol)

Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down on both my mouse and in the game, the sensitivity was WAY too high for me to be able to play it properly. If I get more time later, I'll download and try again. Good luck with your game!

Developer(+1)

yeah it’s heavily optimized for download, so it should be smoother when you play it in that version. Thanks!

I really like the vibe and the visuals, the menus are nice too. Unfortunately it doesn't run very well in the web version. If I get a chance I'll play the download version and try it again.

Developer

yeah, it was intended for download but web kinda works if you turn down the sensitivity

Submitted

I'll definitely give it another go with the download version. Looks good.

Really liked the visuals of the game, it gave me a scary feeling. Liked the part where you have to figure out yourself and also new learnings on how to be safe :)

Please rate and play my game as well, thanks!

Developer

thanks! I’ll check out your game in a bit

there's no visual indicator of whether the door is locked or not, this made the game hard to play. though, the presentation is quite polished and lovely and i think it's a good game jam entry

Developer

thanks! (I made the door play a “locked” sound and kinda jiggle a bit when you try to open it and it’s locked, but besides that yeah there isn’t an indicator.)
