How does the game fit the theme?
Haunted Spouse focuses around the main character needing to tidy up the house before his partner and judgmental in-laws show up. As his wife leaves to pick them up she reminds him that "Nothing can go wrong" and the house must be spotless. Trying to make his life easier, he tries to summon a cleaning ghost to aid in his chores. Being inexperience, he accidentally opens a portal that allows many trickster ghosts into his house with the sole focus of destroying every room.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Acursed Pixel Interior Oddities Assets were purchased and used for the Jam. The character asset was an edit made by Evan p. from free online resources. Top-Down Pixel Ghost Character Sprite Pack from craftpix was utilized as well.

Nice Game! The text box could use some styling up instead of the default settings.

I have finished all the kitchen tasks and found joker and am guessing that's the end?

Nice game, love to see more :)

Really nice game, and stunning visuals!

There are a few games that play similarly in the jam, this one does it well and puts it in context.
The art is well made!

The game is relaxing and has a variety of mini-games. I like it!

good little game!

That was a fun game to play! The little minigames were also well done and it was fun to try and avoid the ghosts. Maybe some sort of timer or disadvantage to hitting the ghosts would be nice and add some intensity but I really enjoyed it!

This was really good I wasn't sure what to do after doing all the tasks but the idea and the mini games were so fun!

Cool concept! There's definitely room for improvement, but it feels and looks good, and I'm glad you're not putting the game down right after the jam!

This was really fun in concept and execution! I think it could be expanded in future into something really good. Great work team!

I thought the concept was pretty funny and fit the theme well. Obviously I would have liked to see more of an ending but hey, one week is a short time to make a game so I get it. I also enjoyed the tasks that required the mouse. Good job!

Ahhhh this game brought back some much-needed nostalgia! I really liked the visuals of this game and the mini-games I thought they were cute and helped incorporate the theme more! My only gripe would be the movement speed didn't match the animation too well but that stuff is usually hard to get down or a priority when you are having to program a game in a week. Overall I thought this was a great entry, well done!

The Control of the character is not very smooth, but I like you mapping and ideas!

I love a Paranormal Activities Movies, I think this game has a same vibes. but it's want a goal line or some archivement to finish this game to sastisfy me more.

But, I love VIBE, SOUND And GRAPHIC in game.

yeah, the ending is missing, I would like a small reward for the completed tasks

I agree! We did intend to have an extra room built out and a "completion" once the rooms were cleansed, but with team time constraints and conflicts we had to end game production before Friday, with just some light cleanup early Sunday morning before submission. We are hoping to go back through and do a ton of revamping after the game jam. Our goal is to turn this into a fully fledged game with better mini-games, a more cohesive storyline, cutscenes, and proper endings. Players will be able to complete all tasks within a time limit—or fail to do so. Thank you both for trying the game out!

Well, it's still a great job. I've added it to my collection to come back later.

Very interesting idea for a game, I really like the whole "Get things done with ghosts in your house" The music was also well made with it not being repetitive but fitting the theme of the game extremely well. Good job!
