The player has to "rewind" VHS games.

Interesting submission. I have seen a few of these kind of "blockbuster" takes on rewind. I liked the art and style. Good job!

Could you also play and rate my game?

Really nice game, super unique! I love the mini games in the tapes. I did have problems keeping track which ones of my tapes were rewinded already and also sometimes customers asked for tapes I simply didn't have in stock. Really nice though!

Wow, nice work on this game. You kept the intensity up, and the changing consoles and games of choice was nice. Having Z and X keys be inputs made it difficult to press the correct buttons in a coordinated way. Especially during the jump/shoot rewind.

Clever idea, it's a lot of fun!  I love the contrast between the two consoles and the VHS ASMR is oddly satisfying.

Some things I took note:

- As some have mentioned, it would be useful to know which tapes you've rewound

- This may be intentional, but I felt the area was too cramped and later on it became nearly impossible to manage and pick up the tapes on the ground (although this may be avoidable if I didn't suck so much :()

- The gardening mini-game is one of my favorites, but imo the two harvesting tools are too similar to one another and hard to distinguish when in a rush (not a big problem though, as there's no real punishment for using the wrong one, so it's ok)

Overall this was such an original concept for a game and one of my favorite takes on the theme! Please keep this one up :D

Awesome game! I really liked it. The story and take on the theme were incredible. I really liked it.The audio and graphics fit perfectly. The levels are fun.

I must say, this was one of the better games of this jam, it was simply just fun to play and not really complicated to get into, I just wish there was more of it, maybe more sound effects, more juice but overall it was an enjoyable game

Fun: 5/5 - Nailed it

Innovation: 4/5 - Love the VHS stuff

Theme: 5/5

Nice game, good well working mecanics and nice graphics. maybe add a way to restart the minigames.

Developer

There is already a way to do it, but sadly I forgot to add write it in the game, it's just in the description.

Thank you for your feedback!

Woow, amazing, that you managed to do all that in a week.

Musik and minigames are really good and I like the diner dash like concept, where you have to walk youself and where you can place the items anywhere you want.

I dont know if I was just to slow, but sometimes it seems like there are demands for games that you do not have in stock, is it supposed to be like that?

Developer

Sadly no, it's just a last minute bug. Finally I managed to understand why it happens so I'm going to fix it soon.

Thank you for your kind words!

Wow it's amazing how you managed to implement mini games of different genres in a week! Love the rewind mechanic in mini games and the retro atmosphere.  The space on the counter is always not enough and the last level in PacMan feels too hard.

I like the concept of the game, a really creative one!!!

Unfortunally for me, the minigames were waay to hard for my liking, and i wished i could interrupt the rewinding process to try different cartriges or serve some other clients!!! Some backgorund music would also be nice...

Also, for some reasons, if i go to the level selection, i can't select the level that i have already play it..

Developer(+1)

You actually can interrupt the games with V/U, but sadly I forgot to write that in the game. Agree for the music, unfortunately I didn't have much time left for it and I didn't want to rush it and ruin the experience. The bug with the level selection is totally new, I didn't know that it could happen. I'll look into it, thanks for the feedback!

Great game! Really enjoyed the different mini games.

Creative game

Some background music would have been nice :)

Developer

I totally agree, but in the end I didn't have much time to create (or even search) some background music and I didn't want to risk using something that didn't really fit the game, potentially making the experience worse. Thank you for your feedback!

Legit one of the best and most creative games I've played in this jam. I love all the different minigames you have to do to rewind each tape. My only complaint is that sometimes, a customer comes by to request a game that hasn't been dropped off yet so I can't do anything about it.

Developer

Sadly that was a last minute bug that I could not fix in time, but at least, despite being frustrating, it does not really impair the game (except for the level scores). Thank you for your kind words!

This game was super fun! The visuals and take on the theme were extremely thoughtout. I had a bit of trouble with some of the mini games mainly because if I screwed up I couldn't reset in the mini game, this usually happened in the square man one.

Sound effects were satisfying but I think this game could have absolutely benefited from some frantic music in the background.

Very well done!

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately I forgot to write it in the game, but you could press V/U to eject the game, a feature that I added exactly for the complex cases that could arise from Squareman. Totally agree for the frantic music, sadly I run out of time to make/search something fitting. Thank you for your feedback!

This was a neat simulator, I like how time went by as you were in the minigame. The controls felt good, I feel like a lot of games like this make it difficult to pick up and drop items but this was smooth. This was a nice and relaxing play, I enjoyed it :)

Def a different take in rewinding the cassette. I like that I could pick stuff up with the keyboard. It's like a mini-game in a game. Nice job.

Submitted(+1)

That's quite a good idea, very original!

I can't think of much to add, just like someone already said, to differenciate between rewinded and not rewinded (rewound?) cassettes

You also basically made various mini games on top of it, nice!

Submitted(+1)

nice gameplay!  Loved the rewind mini game included within the game as well!

I love the screen effect and the chaotic gameplay! Nice job!

Dang, this is another 5 star game for me. Hard to give constructive feedback because it was so great. Maybe differentiate between rewound and non-rewound tapes (though I like the added challenge of having to sort tapes for myself)? And a few times customers asked me for tapes that hadn't been delivered yet. Other than that nitpicking, it was really enjoyable in every aspect!

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately, the customers-thing was some last minute bug that I didn't manage to fix in time, I'm sorry for that. I agree with you in liking the added challenge of having to sort the various rewound/non-rewound VHS, that's exactly why I didn't specify that, ahahah. Thank you for your kind words!
