In what way does your game fit the theme?
It's Rewind time baby! Featuring Will Smith, clockwork, and puns.
You have to feed the furnace (at the back of the airship) with boxes of men's leggings and wind the giant clockwork crank in the center of the ship to reach maximum speed for a swift escape!
Keep yourself from being overwhelmed by making use of the mounted weaponry on the vessel (stand nearby and use the mouse to aim and RMB to fire!)
You can use the mighty crank for cover and as well as boxes, one might find particular safety behind our choice products: Ethical Ivory and Needlessly Hefty Jam!
May Cog be with you!
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly Homebrew. Coded it all myself, did the shaders in Shadergraph myself, made all the effects myself, and the art was made by both Cheekudah and I during the 7 days we had.

Amazing graphics, great idea good game
pls play and rate my game: https://rakshit-ranjan.itch.io/rewind-knight
Thanks for the feedback, I will play your game. Find me in your comment section.
Artstyle is very good! The sound is also cool. But the game lacks narrative design a lot. I couldn't figure out what to do and when and it was hard to move around all those boxes, even when kicked/pushed. Theres a lot going on when kicked right in for the first time. The effects look very good! The opening screen is cool, but the game over screen is very displaced with regards to the style.
Thank you for playing and rating the game Maultaschenprinz! I couldn't agree more with you, and I am sure you can see that your sentiment is also echoed in other reviews. You may rest assured that i will put it to good use and work on enriching these very aspects you mention.
Have an awesome jam further and I truly appreciate the honesty of your review.
looking forward to see the progress!!

Asim I would like to thank you for your well-constructed review. It is greatly emboldening to hear these words from you and I will take note thereof.
I am glad that you had a chance to try it out and to give it a good go, I will certainly do my best to get it up to your standards.
As to the end screen and the victory screens, I agree entirely, they do not fit with the rest of the style at all. And are pretty much more of a developer meme at this stage than what I consider proper. The real McCoy will have some proper airship destruction and more thematic failure/success.
I sadly ran out of time due to my own inexperience in judging how much I could get done, so the end screens were by far the most rushed part of the project. Going up mere moments before we compiled.
You are entirely 100% correct in your assessment and I thank you for it, I will do better and I will make things grander as my duty to you as my player. Thank you!
Np bro, keep up the good work. I'm very impressed with the visuals and sounds. They are very eye catching. Also I would suggest making the game too easy than too difficult if you have to. I did this with the spawn rates of the ammo and health packs in my game. I could have done the drops 1/4 of what it is now but choose to make it easier for the players to play.
Yeah I gotta agree with you on that. I was a little overzealous with the spawn rate there. Once more thanks for the detailed feedback. It is very valuable to me, since this is basically the first ever 'public' reviews of something I have made. So I really want to get it right next time and just have it done well so that people can enjoy it without struggling or feeling frustrated.
Honestly my game isn't much balanced itself, but now i understand people want to play easy games in jams because they are already playing at least 10+ games per day so making it easy help them. I have alot to improve as well and I like your positive attitude. Keep up the good work bro :D
very nice game! I really like the graphics and visuals. You did a great job dude!
Thank you very much Zoroarts!
I love your clockwork hairdryer too ;)
Very interesting concept and the graphics look amazing! Just like many others I had problems figuring out what to do. I think mainly because it's not very clear what kind of effect the things like pushing boxes into the furnace or rewinding the clockwork have. But I'm curious to see where you take this game!
Thank you! I loved your game concept very much as well and it really stands out to me as something you could push into market. Thank you for giving me a go and for spending the time to rate and comment.
I appreciate it forthright and I will be keeping an eye on you and your projects as well to see where you take it.
Have a great Jam!
this has great graphics and effects but damn it's hard, or maybe I just don't know how to play it properly... anyway, nice game.
Thank you Arakjin for your honest review.
I will be making the final product much more user friendly, and if my feedback has any thread in common it is that the UX needs some work. Thank you very much for taking the time to review and for your constructive criticism. I will in the future aim to do right by you and your sentiment by expanding the difficulty options available to the player, as well as the curve of this difficulty.
My kind salutations to you and yours.
Nice game,Loved the graphics and audio, Would make an excellent online game (like We Must Go Deeper)
Although it is pretty hard, and a bit confusing. Note that most people from the jam who play your game wont see your game's page but this. I recommend you edit this page to be more specific (wheres the furnance?, change "mens leggins" to "boxes with mens leggins" for example)
Thank you for your valuable input! I will do so post-haste!
I am going to put a lot of effort into exploring online possibilities. It is definitely something I would do if I could pull it off. But I am still pretty rusty with that. But hey now I have the ideal project to play around on in that line. Thank you for the great suggestion!
Many thanks FedCap. I appreciate your insight.
Oh wow! That was incredible cool with a lot of potential. You of course know how confusing it is, but some other suggestions would be manning other stations of the ship, being able to see the whole dog fight, a story of delivering goods to a city, but you've run out of coal for example, and adding co-op and possibly versus multiplayer would make this game really stand out! It looks graphically amazing especially with all the particles and look forward to see what this game has to offer in the future!
Thank you so much! You have a great set of ideas here and I am definitely definitely definitely (Yes three times) going to be putting more time and love into this concept. I think I could make a whole game out of this.
Some of the stuff I had partly working was COOP and some camera dynamism going on. Building up some storyline to go with it, adding some different roles you might do, some degree of Airship customisation or so. It could really blossom I feel.
Thank you very much RedstoneEngine and congratulations on your notable entry as well! I had a lot of fun with it and I immediately got this Portal-esque feeling from it, like being in some crazy test-chamber. (For anyone perusing these comment sections, I really recommend checking it out as well.)
I am one who gets excited when I see a game that has potential and I'm glad you feel the same way as you were a bit too ambitious on making your game jam project ideas when you have no time! Also, thanks for the promotion! Glad you enjoyed it!
Truly a pleasure, and yes for a first jam I maybe did misjudge myself juuuust a little! The curse of ambition I suppose hahaha.
The ost was amazing, the game was fun but a little on the hard side and a little confusing, glad i played ( :
Thank you so much for playing and rating!
Yes the difficulty was accidentally cranked up and when I tried to fix it the updates had already closed lol. But I am thinking of adding like a little FTL-esque "overworld" type thingy, and then doing a bunch of airships and mechanics (possibly even coop).
My apologies for the confusion lol. I will set it out much more clearly in the coming weeks I assure you. Thank you graciously for your valuable input. I will use it! :D
I look forward to seeing where this game goes!
Very interesting game that's for sure, amazing graphics, graphical effects and sound effects. The lasers were extremely juicy and the ships flying by were extremely well made (although they made my computer lag a bit). Impressive that this has been done in only 7 days
The only real culprit with the game was that I didn't really understand the goal, I filled the furnace and shot lasers at the ships but I'm not sure if they took damage or not
All in all, great game, you should be proud over this
Great! Thank you very much for the critique, I value your input greatly and I will definitely make sure to add some better feedback and juice to enemies, and make destructible components more clear in terms of hit effects and reactions. As to optimisation, I definitely agree with this as well, I sadly opted to skip that process entirely due to the time constraints, so that is definitely on me as developer. But for a more final product I will definitely put her through the profiler! Thank you for your time that you invested in playing my little project, and thank you for your well-worded review. I appreciate it very greatly Mojko! May you have a lovely day and a lovely gamejam further.
Visuals are stunning and the gameplay seems alright. As others have said its hard to know what to do. Didn't even know what the furnace looked like. The text on the boxes and the indicators are fun. Well done!
Thank you for rating me man, your entry was very nice. Congrats on it!
Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely take it to heart and work on making things clearer for the player.
Awesome game!
Thanks mate!
I like the graphics and sound really much :) Although I did not really understand what I had to do, so a tutorial would have been nice ;)
Thank you very much! I had plans to have signs and painted instructions, popups and whatnot. But sadly I simply did not get to it in time. I will definitely be taking your advice and work on improving that as soon as we can start putting out updates.
Thank you once more for rating and spending your time with my little project. I will definitely give yours a go as well.
The game looks really worked and polished, the thing is there is no tutorial or introduction, so you dont know the objective or mision you need to accomplish.
Very fair assessment, I am definitely seeing a trend emerging here from the feedback XD
I really appreciate the time you took to give it a go and to give me your constructive criticism. I will definitely take it to heart and apply a thick layer of polish on that side of things.
Art is amazing, the gameplay is a little bit confusing, I'd like a tutorial, even some text based tutorial on the game page would be nice.
Thank you carrotsYay! I will definitely be doing that. Getting the player started on a small airship and then working up from there to more complex ones with more mechanics. The present state of things were... rushed... to say the least! XD
Yo those lights are tasty af
Thank you kind stranger! I made them especially for your eyeballs.
I felt a little bit lost in the beggining of the game. I think a tutorial or a easy start it would be nice for the player understand.
I love the design and the theme! The shoots and the ships are wonderful!
Congratulations with your work!
Thank you for your rating man!
I agree 100% with you on feeling lost. I will be polishing that up for sure, giving the player more direction and agency. Was going to put down signs and stuff but man that last 48h of the jam goes by quickly!
Thanks for your rating and your kindness!
hahahaha I understand! Last week passed by like a rocket!
If you have some time, check out our game too~
Have a great day, friend!
Really nice job with this. The art and sounds are really nice. I wasn't really sure what to do at first, it took me while to figure out what I had to do, perhaps a tutorial would have been good. Overall, nice job!
Awesome thanks! Yeah I agree totally, I had some stuff I was going to use to guide the player better but in the end my time ran out and I had to settle for the vagueness we see now.
Though I will definitely be fixing this you have my word!
The game is hella lot of fun. It took me a while to figure out what I have to do, i'd suggest you to add a small tutorial on the game page, it would benefit a lot form it! Very nice graphics and particles by the way!
Check out my game if you have some time!
Thank you so much for your time and feedback, I am glad that it was fun. You definitely have a point with giving the player more direction. I am definitely gonna give it a couple more weeks of dev time once the gamejam voting stops.
Gonna make the camera more dynamic and give the player more or an idea what is going on (with regards to objectives and with incoming enemies)
Once again thank you very much for your kind words and your attention. I will certainly give your entry a go as well.
Rough around the edges, camera a bit wonky for what I want. But time was limited. Things to look forward to:
More Destructibility!
More Airships!
More Enemies!
More Betterer Camera!
More Characters!
Weapons for your dude!
Anyway I would like to thank everyone for giving it a go and for supporting us. I had a lot of fun making it and I don't feel that it is too shitty for a first entry. I will definitely keep it alive for some time more and give it a good round of polish. So do be sure to check back!
Also a Tutorial that is very greatly needed hahahaha.
