Ranked from 28 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
It's Rewind time baby! Featuring Will Smith, clockwork, and puns.

You have to feed the furnace (at the back of the airship) with boxes of men's leggings and wind the giant clockwork crank in the center of the ship to reach maximum speed for a swift escape!

Keep yourself from being overwhelmed by making use of the mounted weaponry on the vessel (stand nearby and use the mouse to aim and RMB to fire!)

You can use the mighty crank for cover and as well as boxes, one might find particular safety behind our choice products: Ethical Ivory and Needlessly Hefty Jam!

May Cog be with you!

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Mostly Homebrew. Coded it all myself, did the shaders in Shadergraph myself, made all the effects myself, and the art was made by both Cheekudah and I during the 7 days we had.

Thank you very kindly.

Looks great ! Some info within the game for the player on how to play would be useful.

Developer

I totally agree. I will be working to that end :)

I didn't realize you could hit the boxes into the furnace until about my third attempt, and I don't know why I'm shoving things in the furnace or cranking the thing, or how much to do either of those things, but dang does this game look nice.  I do wish that there was more of an indication of how well you were doing, how damaged your ship was, and how damaged the enemy's ship was, as it wasn't clear at all how well I was doing.  Maybe an explanation of the different UI elements would help with that though.

Very good concept though and one of the best games I've played so far.  I can't help but wish that this was multiplayer, with different people cranking, feeding the furnace, and shooting the enemies.  Seems like it'd be super fun

Developer

Thank you very much for the detailed write-up. I appreciate the effort you took and the fact that you gave the game a decent go. It means a lot to me.

Your feedback is very valuable, I can only agree with your analysis of the UI/UX side of things, as well as the clarity of gameplay. I will be addressing these issues in-future when I replace the failure and success screens, and add more comprehensive goals. I have plans on making enemy airship damage more modular for the larger ones, to give a better indication of how far gone they are. Along the lines of the fighters losing engines.

An to the multiplayer question, I totally agree here as well. I am looking into perhaps adding either local coop, or if my talents allow, online coop. Though that would be a learning experience for me. Though I suppose there is no time like the present to try and improve ourselves.

Once more thank you for your information Chris, and thank you for your compliments as well.

Enjoyed the visuals and sounds greatly. Feels like the game could use a bit of direction, though. Start off with a tutorial or just get us used to the controls before we get thrust in.

Developer

Totally totally agree, this was sadly one of the things i had to drop just due to time constraints to get it out fast enough. But the feedback has been pretty unanimous in this sentiment and I am definitely going to be addressing this with a future patch.
