In what way does your game fit the theme?
The customers of the video store needs to return their rented movies rewinded and avoid problems with the Blade Rewinders
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. But sound and music where added from Royalty free website.

A Great game! Some bugs i found i not sure if it is my resolution but i could see the black screen that you use for transition and the text box even though it suppose to be out of screen. Other than tat this is a good game :)
A nice little puzzle game that gets really complicated further in. Maybe I couldn't find it, but I wanted to speed up the intro which is taking up a long time, it's such a long text. Love the graphics though, it's great!
This is a great game. I love the mechanics as the buttons you step on and pausing the agents. You know at first I thought I was going to play as the blade runner and slice people up for not rewinding their videos lol. Great pixel art graphics and use of sound fx's. I love the story aspect of it along the way too. Nice job, highly rated. Super minor, mine has them too, but there is a typo in the finale story text "People were then able to return..."
This was a fun short game, with a nice story and challenging puzzles. Would like to see the text at the start of a level not show up after restarting the level, but that’s about it. Loved the isomectric retro theme!
Great game, short and sweet. I loved the premise. I wish the dialogue wouldn't show up when I fail a level and have to restart. Also, I wish rewinding was explored more as a game mechanic. Otherwise, I enjoyed it a lot. Good work!
an isometric I liked it, a unique composition to the theme!!!
Awesome game! I really liked it. The story and take on the theme were incredible. I really liked it.The audio and graphics fit perfectly. The levels are fun.

The audio and graphics fit perfectly.
The levels are fun.
The UI sometimes got in the way of the grid and it would have been nice to be able to skip the dialogue with the keyboard (when retrying a level too many times).
Really fun game !!!
Congrats on this piece, its really polished and fun. The level with the rewind button and the pause button really took me by surprise. I got stuck and didn't know how to keep going. I really like how you introduced the button mechanics one by one to really get the idea accros.
Audio is great and the VHS society story was funny and charming. Blockbuster used to charge money if you didnt rewind the movies when returning them, no wonder Netflix triumphed in this version of the multyverse LOL.

Nice game, I like the idea and the levels are quite challenging... good job.
Here some suggestions:
- When the game start let me don't read the text, you can speed up by pressing any key.
- When you restart the level don't show again the dialogs.. I read the first time..
- For the dialog you need the mouse. I use the keyboard to play , better to use also enter or space to go faster.
- Graphic issue..
I really liked the aesthetics on this game. Very cute and the art was spot on. I agree with the looping audio, but that is an easy fix with a singleton music manager. Great job!
Keep up the good work!
Cool game and fun story. The graphics also add to the 90's vibe and make it a overall fun experience! Only the puzzles need some tweaking I think, as it's not very clear why the enemies are going where they're going which makes it a simple trial and error.
The Good:
- Art - the art was very well made and clean! It really suited the atmosphere of the game
- Clarity and difficulty - I never had any issues knowing what to do. You gradually introduced mechanics to the player and then ramped up the difficulty at a good pace. Level design felt really polished
- Concept and theme - I really liked the concept of a turn based puzzle, and the different buttons that rewinded and paused, together with the story, really suited the theme
Could Improve:
- Spelling and grammar - this is just a side note, and I won't lower my rating because of it, but it was difficult to read the story and dialogue sometimes (e.g. it's "were" not "where")
- Repeating music and dialogue - every time you died or moved onto the next level, the music would restart. This was the same with dialogue every time you died
- Unpredictable AI - I couldn't predict the enemy movements. They moved consistently, but ambiguously. I couldn't figure out the puzzle by thinking, I had to keep restarting to see where the enemies would move. Maybe add a tip telling the players how they behave
Overall:
A fun but short game, definitely a solid entry. The game was enjoyable to play outside of some frustrating bits.
Really cool game! I love the concept and story! The only thing I would change is that you have to re-read the same dialogue every time you respawn. Otherwise, nice work!
Original approach on the theme! Funny story and cool art and audio. Maybe the levels could be better, the idea is interesting and I think you could exploit it more, but it's a jam so now that it has ended you can improve this aspect and make more levels too. The other thing I wanted to point out is the fact that you have to repeat the dialogue after reseting a level. Anyways, good job overrall, it is good in every aspects and one of the best I played^^
