Wow great game! Really like the 2D platformer exploration with power-ups haha.
- One suggestion is addind a small jump, you can only jump the same height.
Overall Fun Game!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The plants and the player need each other to make it back to the surface. The player uses the plants to progress through the level and the plants will wither without the player nearby.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Our team did, yes
Thanks for the play on mine. Loved the pixel animation on this. I got stuck in the ground at one point trying to climb up the ladder. Mechanics felt pretty solid though.
I liked the art and the audio a lot. The idea was really fun too. It reminded me of Grow Up with how you collect and use plants to get around the environment. Maybe I missed something but I wish there was an easier way to throw seeds instead of clicking the inventory. I'm nitpicking though. Great job!
Very cool metroidvania. I like the multi purpse of the plants. The music is very cathy and sounds are also also well designed :)
The tiles edges showing sometimes is of course unfortunate. Something with the configuration of the (pixel perfect) camera
I had a bug where after my first death the character would respawn sligtly tilted to the side and would remain so for the rest of the game even after deaths. This happend on my both plays so maybe it's a feature and there's some meaning behind it :P
The vines when thrown on the ground would let me climb in the air over them, not sure if it's intended.
Really well made, I also meet the bug that player stuck in the ground lol.
And I really hope you add some short key, there are some timing stuffs that can't be done when inventory is closed.
Added to the collection.
Pretty cool game! I love the metroid feel of it. Could easily be expanded into a full game. Found one bug, if you stand under the gun flower you can get stuck in the ground. Otherwise epic game!
Great game! I love the art style and the sound! After climbing a ladder somehow I couldnt jump anymore though. I will try the game again later to see if I can complete it, because I really enjoyed it!
Fantastic game, i love art-style used, i like the idea of the plants to jump over them amazing work.
I just got a big visual and sound slap while playing your game. Visually, your game is very beautiful, very well done and the sound is great. Moreover, in terms of game design, the game guides the player VERY WELL. I immediately understood where to go, how to use my abilities. The controls are super fluid. Very good game.
Very good work.
Great game - good level design(challenging but not difficult), great art work(like the little details eg. the cursor) and the music is very nice too. The character controller is nice and smooth.
However there are a few bugs one to note is my character flipping and some other bugs like my pc crashing when I press quit or escape. (This may be my pc having a bad day but I've never had it on other games). Overall nice work, and maybe you could fix it up polish it and create a steam post. and w and up key are missing jump functions. as well as the tediousness of clicking the plant you want to plant -hotkeys would work nicely.
Interesting platformer game! Here are my complete feedback:
* Positive points
- The graphics are pretty nice, it reminds a lot of Celeste
- The controls felt very responsive, which was very appreciate, moreover the jump feature felt also the same
- The concept with the water & seed is quite interesting, which allows to think differently than a classic plateformer game
* Negative points
- Some visibility issues for the next jump, if the camera was further, I think that it could help
- In some spots, I felt that the timing between the jumps and to grow a plant in order to access to the next part, was sometimes too tight for me
- I found the font too hard to read
Overall good work!
I also got stuck, a couple pixels down into the floor it seems. But I got a few plants by then and think you have a really fun game!
This is a good game you have here. I like the animations and music a lot. the mechanics are nicely implemented. I like that the different plants can be used in multiple ways. Some minor bugs are there like getting stuck in the ground, but nothing too bad.
There are so many great deatails and the controls are nicely polished and feel great!
"Well" done! (pun intended)
I love your game! it's really fun! but like someone else here I fell trough a platform and got stuck. did you use the edgecollider instead of a full collider?
What a wonderful game! I enjoyed the premise and enjoyed a lot of the smaller details. I liked how well watering seeds worked for creating different types of plants to aid with exploration. I liked how the plants slowly fade color over time to show their health. I also enjoyed how the central pit was used as a focus point to always take the player back home. I also liked the feeling of learning and exploration. You didn't need a complex tutorial and that led to a lot of 'ah-ha' moments with things like riding on the plant spikes or using projectiles to destroy walls. It all felt very natural and was super fun!
I really enjoyed this puzzle platformer, it felt refreshingly creative and the atmosphere was both creepy (in a good way) and yet colorful and hopeful with the plants! I also liked the lite Metroidvania level design, seems like something your team can definitely expand upon and flesh out for a full release. My one problem was that at a certain point, my character's collider got stuck in the ground, so I wasn't able to jump anymore. If you do come back to this after the jam, please check the player collider. Otherwise, this was a great entry and one of my favorites so far! Great job!
