In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game starts as a normal platformer and every time you finish a run they game gets harder and harder until it is very hard but possible to win, some might say it is too chaotic

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, me and the other guy as the team did all the code and only the font and jumping SFX aren't fully us but they are free to use

Hah we have simmilar game! funny

Like the minimalistic artstyle and the effect. There are a few things I should change if you wanted to change your game a bit after the jam. Doesn't mean you need to do this, just some feedback.

The control feel a little bit floaty sometimes:

You can change this for example by adding some more gravity and also enlarge your jump force so you keep the same jump height.

The jump feels not that powerfull sometimes:

When you dubble jump but already have a downwards velocity your resulting jump velocity will be low or 0. You can change this easily by first setting the downwards velocity to zero. Also I should add a bit more in air movement

Sometimes the camera clips or moves back to the player:

When you are moving and stop moving the camera will go back a bit to the player, this is probably intentional. But sometimes it feels that you are going slow and takes away your ritme.

Audio:

The sound effect sound a little shrill but it's okay if you lower your volume. I don't know if you wanted some music in your game but it's very easy to just generate a song. I did the same for my game on "Strofe".

Further more I really liked the idea of repeating the level and always making it harder.

That I gave you a lot of feedback is certainly not because you made a bad game, you should be proud of what you made and this on 7 days. Good job!

Thank you soo much, we are working on changing the things and I gotta say that we have worked on most of them.
the SFX of the debuffs that you get will be changed and we want to add another voice actor that you can select (and change the current one to sound a bit better).
and yes we already made BGM for the game (first time creating it so we hope you will like it) and we will release the updated version after the jam!!
FYI: we made this game in 3 days because both of us had no time but the weekend :)

Simple style art, but great, and I love the control, its easy to learn the game! Hows mine?

Very cool game

Very cool game! Just reached the double jump cancel, couldn't do it with the double platforms damn "Im BAD at 2D platformers btw xD" but it was a nice experience!  Only things i would do is to bring checkpoints and making the double jump more precise, when you double jump it does it respecting your fall speed, so if we fall and press double jump we don't double jump as we keep falling, i think this can be fix making the Rigidbody to reset the Y velocity!   Overall, great game!! Hardcore af lul

Developer

Hoo cool we will implement that the reset cuz we think it is important

Awesome theme. Loved the concept. Great job!

Would appreciate if you give mine a try: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1176432

I played this a day ago, couldn't get far because the post-processing made me feel sick. I decided to give it a try again today and finally won the game. It really is a fun game and get chaotic when you have a lot of debuffs. The debuffs sure made the game more fun and interesting, but a few of them are just straight unfair imo. I really hate how meteorite can spawn randomly, sometimes it spawn on top of my head just when I landed. But what I really don't like is "Lucky Number" debuff, it just randomly generated a number and kills you. It's really unfair.

So the game was fun until I got to the fifth stage. One of the first things i noticed beating a stage was something changed, but no way I could read it as small and quickly it disappeared, this mean for stage 3 and 4 i didn't know what had changed. I realized stage 3 was double jump and whatever it was in stage 4 didn't affect me at all felt the exact same as stage 3.  Stage 5 i played a while but i stopped because honestly it's cheap. I died doing nothing a few times and when you send me all the way to the beginning it doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. The same with the falling objects. That could be fun, but it's not fun when i have no way to dodge it because or my location so I die and start back over again. Falling object should not be random and instant death for just existing should not exist. it feels very cheap. Over all the game is fun but i wouldn't play past stage 4 for fear that when I get to the end of stage 5, if even possible due to the falling stuff, i might just randomly die for no reason. Chaos should be fun and even difficult, but its still a game my ability to win shouldn't be pure luck. Random falling things could be less frequent and i might be able to live with that even if they come from random spots.  Overall I think the game is fun and has potential.

Very well done. The controls felt very nice. Was challenging and fun. Made me want to keep playing.

I had a lot of fun playing this. Some of the "debuffs" were soooo hard. I like the blurry edges of the screen a lot. And the camera damping. It miiiiight snap back a bit too quickly. It was disorienting sometimes. But with just  a little tweak there, I think the game is excellent! Good job :)

Developer

Thank you!

very nice game

Well, as a lot of people said, you should put some backgroung music.  The controls felt a little floaty for my taste, but overall you made a good job :)

Very interesting  concept. I like games that gives player challenge.

Nice game! I thought the ui was a bit too small and the camera shake was a bit too much. Otherwise it was a nice platformer!

Developer

Thanks, we will work on the UI and the camera after the jam!

Pretty good game! Cool concept, however it's still need bgm and more accurate physics or at least better player controlling.

Also I would love to receive your feedback and rating on my game.

Great work of using what you already did as an advantage to expand gameplay! It's interesting how one level can be played in so many ways with just flipping of one single game mechanic.
This game needs some serious bgm tho. Would be a lot better if there's like an intense music and a bit of post-processing.

Developer(+1)

We wanted to add BGM but had no time (or skill to create one) we might use a none copyright music when the jam will be over or we will learn to create a simple on.

And thanks for the comment!

Pretty cool game! Just a couple things that I thought could be improved:

the music doesn't really exist, the death sounds could be slightly "clearer", the UI text and stuff seems a bit small (at least for my resolution 1920x1080) and i couldn't really make out what some text in the corner said, the camera is a bit too "floaty" for my liking, and finally pressing "continue" in the menu just loads up the level (but makes double jump not work or something i have no idea). Also because of some of those problems, I didn't know how to get past level 3.

Still, the player movement is really nice to control, the film grain effect thingy is really nice, the visuals and stuff are simplistic but aren't bad. The different level difficulties like swapping A and D are pretty cool also, just that (mentioned above), I kept dying in level 3. Or most likely i just suck ._.

Again, nice game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, the text probably we didn’t do the scaling right so it is a problem that we will fix.

The continue button should move you to the game and keep all of your debuffs from the last time.

We will work after the jam to improve the game, thanks a lot for the comment

really simple artstyle!

Game is kind of cool at the beginning, but the challenges are a bit too much and the random death isn't fun at all.

Submitted(+1)

Great game, but too much post-processing for me.
