Notes (optional)
Really wanted to have an online leaderboard... but based on some Unity updates it doesn't look like I can get it done in time.

Really nice game, very creative. I love the idea

very fun!! after a couple of tries the best score i could get on timed was 220! the one thing i'd suggest is: it would be quite nice to have some audio feedback on when you're running out of time

Submitted

That was so fun! I really liked the art work and the mechanics. I really think its a solid game that after some updates (more sound effects, some meter for dash ability, multiplayer meaby?, more mechanics) would be ever better. Great job!

Great game idea with great execution. Very fun :)

Thanks for playing!

The concept of this game was really fleshed out and polished. I loved it <3

Thanks for playing Daydream!  Glad you enjoyed it.

Ffantastic polish on this little gem, fun and simple yet addictive gameplay, supported by gorgeous graphics and a great choice of music. Would love to see danger indicators on the side of the screen when a boat is pulling a fish out of view.  Solid contender for top 5!

Developer

I totally agree with the indicators, they just got cut for time.  Thanks for playing!

I liked the art and animations a lot especially the animation that plays when the boat gets destroyed :P

Developer

Thanks! I really liked how the explosion animation came out as well.

That is a very strong gold fish.. xD

The game looks are very polished. I think it lacks a bit in the gameplay loop.

Nice work! :)

Thanks for playing!  The loop in Cozy is non-existent.  In Timed, the loop can be fun, but I definitely understand without a leaderboard and some feedback, the loop could be improved, but we all make cuts for gamejam games.

Im a little bit confused  where the challenge comes in, I was just swimming from side to side dragging boats.

Other than that the presentation was really nice and clean, the gameplay was also satisfying.

Developer

You were probably playing Cozy mode.  In that mode, that is all you do.  Try timed mode and let me know what you think!

Submitted

I did play timed mode, are there any other differences than the timer?

Maybe obstacles in the water could add some more, but overall i think the concept is really great!

Super polished game with a really satisfying explosion when destroying boats. I would've loved to be able to pull a boat under water myself if I dragged them down, maybe for less points, but it would've made me feel more like a sea monster hahaha. Other than that, the only feedback I'd have is some of the buttons I were hard to find/understand (like the menu one, but maybe I'm just a bozo). Great work overall, loved the game!

Developer

OMG, if I had time, I definitely wanted to be able to pull the boat under and then sailors could have floated up.  Thanks for playing, great feedback!

final score was 170. I enjoyed this one. the art is well made, the sound effects are good, it's overall just a fun, satisfying game with a lot of juice.

Developer

Great score! I have hit 200... though with my leaderboard not working, there is no proof of that :(

Wow this is a very visually pleasing game, i really like the ui and the little attention to detail that you have, making the boats appear smaller than getting larger, the ui being behind the clouds, and the little fish in the back ground. If i had to change one thing it would be the sand( it just feels a little plain in comparison to all the other details, like maybe some animals scurrying along the bottom). Really solid game for a week long jam.

Developer

I made the sand first, as placeholder art, and never came back.  I had a starfish that rolled around on the bottom, but ended up not liking it.  If I had a little more time, I would have definitely spruced up the floor a little bit more.  Your keen eye for detail reveals my shame.  Thanks for playing!!!

Cute but left click is a " go to previous page" in most of the browsers (mine too)

Developer

Sorry about that oversight, I use chrome, are you on safari or something else?  I didn't have time to setup two seperate controls for this jam.

Submitted

I think it's the specific browser (or I can be wrong and troubles with my mouse) but I use Vivaldi if it helps.

Cute, fun polished, Great job! very fishy, and love myself a cozy mode.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the cozy mode, thanks for playing!
