Congratulations on your submission! While I am not too keen on the floaty movement, I like your idea of stopping time to progress through the level. Great job!

What a surprise this game was! Perfectly executed! SFX, music, visual, gameplay, you nailed it! (I'd just change the text color,  the current one makes it really hard to read imo).

Great job, one of my favourites of this jam. Congratz!

Developer

Thanks so much, We are glad you liked it!(btw your game was awesome). We'll keep in mind the text color since we weren't sure which to use, thanks for the feedback!

Really good fun game this one, though I must admit, I died a lot! (probably more down to my poor playing that the game itself though).  The only feedback I can give really is that the controls aren't too intuitive. Good job though!

Submitted(+3)

Finally got around to playing this! Good work, I like the various mechanics that was added to this game. I wanted to move the game’s character a bit faster, but the levels were designed well for his abilities.

The dash felt a bit weird. The camera kind of skips to the player instead of following. And I died a lot during the first dash tutorial, he fell short a lot. I made it a few times as well but it never felt consistent for me. That could just be my skill level as well, but if it’s something others say maybe look into it.

When using the arrow key the controls are weird but using WASD made it more intuitive as all the abilities were in JKL. Good stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback and thank you for taking the time to play our game. The dash is actually a teleportation so the camera movement is a little bit tricky to get it right. The JKL controls were implement because of the feedback people gave us!

Submitted(+1)

Teleportation? Interesting. Teleportation -> space -> spacetime -> time, is this another nod to the theme? :-D haha. I’ve read the other reviews after feedback, you’re doing really well with the feedback. Keep up the good work, I only expect more at this point

A very funny game, a bit too hard for my taste that spikes platforms were insta-kill, but besides that a very enjoying experience.

The tutorial teaches you very well how to use your options and gameplay controls feels nice (although playing with keyboard was a bit tough). I don´t know if it is possible to play with a game pad.

My only complaints was to have an easier difficult level to survive a couple of hits of spikes, and somehow a way to remapping the keys. But overall a fun game and glad to play.

Cheers!

Developer

Hey KaiserKrieg! Remapping the keys is always a really good functionality but we were a bit short on time. We will take a look at the spikes damage. We are glad to hear you had a good experience!

Submitted(+3)

I had a blast playing this! I love the look of the avatar and enemies. It has some great mechanics, like returning projectiles with your sword and the time stop thing - being able to crush the enemies in different ways is a big plus! Also, the tutorial is very well done! It has a nice pace to it.
Maybe it's because I'm bad at the game, but I would've preferred a few more checkpoints at some of the earlier stages, like in the time stop tutorial level. But that's a debatable thing, I guess, because not having too many checkpoints fits the game really well, I think :)
All in all, a super polished and fun game, well done!!!

Developer

Nice to hear you like the game! Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+3)

Very fun game mechanic and looks polished! The game does feel a bit slow but still fun to play. Good work!

Submitted(+2)

hmm, looks nice but...
isn't control platform dependent?

i tried the WebGL in safari, i was almost not able to jump over first obstacle.
in the chrome it was a bit better but in the second level i was not able to jump over first gap (dash is not helping, i ended up somewhere in the middle of it)

Developer (1 edit)

Hi pixelook. Thansk for trying our game!. Where you playing on a Mac. We found a bug where the WebGL version is not running correctly on Macs. Can you try the downloadable Mac build and tell us if is it better? Thank you for your time!

Edit: I just played you game and left a review! I love the retro style!

Submitted(+1)

yep, on mac...

I see, sure will try and let you know :)

Submitted(+1)

hi,
i tried mac build, but it was not running.
it ends up with "application is not responding" message in the menu.
:(

Developer

We will take a look and we'll try to fix it. Thank you for taking the time of trying it again!

Submitted(+2)

I really wanted to like this game. It looks cool.  It has a time slowing mechanic, and a blinding fast dash feature.  But I found the game rather slow.  I also found the controls difficult to use.  The dash jump was a particular challenge.  But I never made it far enough to see what the time mechanic did.

Developer (1 edit)

Hi gigapully. Thanks for trying our game! Where you playing on a mac?

Edit: I just played you game and left a comment. Nice game, very fun!

Submitted(+3)

Awesome little platformer entry :) I like my attack bound to my mouse but it's a small thing haha! :) Great work overall team!

Developer(+1)

We are happy to hear you like the game!

Submitted(+3)

I really liked the visuals, very cute artstyle and great animations! Controls are a bit hard to get used to, I feel like using Z, X, C (or some other 3 keys which are next to each other) instead of Q, E, shift would feel better

Developer

Hi kaeveris! You also have the options to move with W, A, S, D and use the abilities with J, K, L which are next to each other. We are glad to hear you liked the art :)

Submitted(+3)

Great platformer, and visuals, I especially like the dash visuals. The controls also felt decent.

It took some attempts to get used to the wall jumping, but it worked well once you learned it properly :-)

Great work! :-)

Developer(+1)

The wall jump was really hard to get it right and we think it still needs some work. We are happy to hear you like the game!

Submitted(+3)

Nice! The best platform i played so far in this jam! Nice art, the game is difficult, the controls are responsive, and the controls like dash and stop time in J,K,L was much better for me than space/enter thing. You have great potential, congratulations!!!

Developer

Nice to hear you liked the game! Thanks for the feedback! The J,K,L controllers was implemented after the feedback everyone gave us.

Submitted(+4)

Nice, cute platformer. I actually found jumping very hard to master. I couldn't tell if the holding on to the wall as you come down is an actual thing we have to take advantage of. I quickly got stuck in the level after the tutorial where double jump didn't help, couldn't tell whether I could hold on to the wall, I could make a third jump even but then that wasn't enough.... It feels like more tutorial was necessary or the beginning just too challenging? Would be willing to give it another shot if you gave some more hints on this.

Developer

Hi CodingRook! Thanks for trying our game. Did you try using the dash for that jump? You can use it by pressing Shift or L.

TIP: You can use the double jump and the dash in the air to jump even further!

Submitted

I see... but the jump I needed to clear was a vertical one...? Would dash have helped there too?

Developer

You can wall jump! If you jump towards a wall you can jump to the opposite side by pressing the movement key opposite to the wall you are latching onto.

Submitted

ahhhh... ok. Maybe that should have been stated more explicitly perhaps? Or I'm just a dummy - haven't played platforms in a while (says the guy who also built a platformer for this Jam lol)

Submitted(+4)

The only thing that I though can be improved is dash. Maybe it's a camera, but the dash feels as a sudden teleportation to a random close space rather than an actual dash.
But apart from that, I liked the game and its character, seems really fun. I was so sad every time my robot got destroyed by the spikes ahah, good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, currently the dash is a teleportation. Maybe by changing some parameters in how the camera moves when dashing can make it feel like an actual dash.  We are glad you like the game :)

(+3)

I really liked the art, and the animations. Specifically, I thought the sword swing animation was really satisfying, which can be hard to nail down. Nice work!

Submitted(+2)

Nice game! I found the controls a bit hard to handle and i do agree that the spikes are pretty much impossible to see when they move, but it's a fun game nevertheless. And i'm not really a hardcore platform player, so that's probably why i had some trouble handling it. Loved the music and the overall feel of it!!

Developer

I am glad to hear that you liked the game! I'll try to take a look at those spikes to make them more visible.

Developer

We just published the version 1.1 of the game with some bug fixes, one of them being the color of the spikes of the movable platforms. If you have spare time please check if the new spikes are more visible! We also added more keybindings to the player abilities so the controls might be more easy to handle!

Submitted(+1)

Oh! Cool!! Will take a look tomorrow! Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Yes, much clearer now! Also, i don't know if it's just me getting more used to it, but long jumps feel better. I still suck at the whole walljumping, but that's probably just me. Fun game!!!

Developer

We are glad to hear that is fixed now. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Nice game overall, the artwork was cool, the spikes on the platforms were hard to see or even impossible when they were moving, not sure if that was your purpose, but nevertheless good game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take a look at those spikes and try to make them more visible.

Developer(+1)

We just published the version 1.1 of the game with some bug fixes. We changed the color of the spikes so they can be seen more easily. Give it a try!

Submitted(+2)

I thought this was well done! Definitely too hardcore for me, little things like getting slightly too close to the enemy when trying to attack them makes it pretty difficult for someone who doesn't play a lot of platformers. Overall, well thought out and executed.

Developer

Thanks josh. We're happy to hear you liked the game! Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+4)

I love the art style well done!

Developer

Thanks!!
