Finished all level, it become more tricky as more red object introduced, especially the last level. Some level seem too easy though. Very polished games aside from you have to let go a button before changing direction.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play it and leave feedbacks !
Normally you have the next step of red object indicated by an arrow on the ground. But it's not showing on the WebGL build unfortunately :( We will fix it soon on that platform for sure ! :)

Not bad! It would have been nice if there was some indication of where enemies would go and where teleporters would lead as not knowing that means levels often became a game of guess-and-check.

Developer(+1)

Hey ! Thanks for playing and taking the time to give feedbacks ! :D
Yeah it's a known issue.. We had that feature for enemies in the windows build but it did not apply for the WebGL build sadly.
I guess the teleporters one would be a nice to have indeed ! Maybe making them too easy ? :P

Developer

Thank you! The ennemies not showing their path is a bug, specially with the webgl version. It's been fixed on our latest version. And I'm working on some way to show the direction of the teleporter, where there is like 6 of them it has to be subtle enough ^^

Thanks for playing our game!

Very nice game! I like the idea of only being able to move each direction once. Originally I was thinking something similar but instead you'd only be able to move in one direction but it didn't play as well, this is much better. Something I would suggest is to allow the player to not have to hold a direction making it so they can take time with their movements, maybe only lock them out of going in a direction once they change directions. It would also be nice to be able to see the path of the enemies; I found the ones without enemies much more enjoyable because it was predictable right away where as with enemies I didn't know which way they would go or how far until I messed around a bit.

All together still a great game!

Thank you for your feedback! The ennemies not showing their path is a bug actually, the ground is a bit too high on some levels and hide the arrows...This is fixed on recent versions but we're not able to submit any new build until the end of the jam.

That's a good advice for letting players move as they want. This is one of the frustration point that comes back, that your are committed to your input choice and need to time precisely when you will have to release the key. Maybe slowing down a bit the movement will help a bit as well. I thought about some hidden helper that will try to help you stop on the correct line, but it implies some level knowledge, and it starts to melt my brain...

I've also put some tutorial and a faster reset animation to remove some waiting time and make the experience smoother :)

Thank you again for your feedback, it's highly appreciated!

That music is the best I have listened to on this jam so far! The visuals are also one of the best I have seen! I think the puzzles are all quite interesting, and I think not being able to pause and think really makes the puzzle solving experience unique: You need to solve everything in one go! But following that idea, the enemy and obstacle design kinda contradicts the theme? The red chaotic enemies for example, while looks cool, doesn't show me its path / direction. This makes the game less a puzzle game but more a trial and error game when you just press restart over and over until you eventually tests out a path? I genuinely enjoyed this game a lot! Thanks for this cool looking and nice sounding game! (ps. and in case you are interested in my take on a puzzle game that focuses on "only one...", please check it out here! Feedbacks on the puzzle design / mechanics are especially welcomed!)

Thank you for your review, reading that you like the art style fills me with joy :)

About the red ennemis maybe there is an issue with the webgl build but normally they have an arrow on the ground showing their next move. If you don't see it, try the windows build version eventually. I will check your game for sure!

One of the best games I've played on this jam yet. Solid game design, lot's of ways to interact with the game, polished art and REALLY cool music. Congrats!

Super cool!

It controls quite similar to the game I did, but with a completely different approach. I like it :)

Well thought out; every time I thought "well there's only so much you can do with this" there's a new mechanic thrown in.
Conveyors were a little buggy but otherwise it works well.

If I had to level criticism, the "only once" here can be a bit of a two-edged sword: no allowance for care or planning so some levels with the red clouds (swarms?) can be a little too trial and error.
But, you went full with the theme, and honestly this works well for the most part~
A top down perspective might have been kinder, but it's not really an issue with the grid alignment

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment! We thought about the camera angle and decided to go with one more angled than it was at first. We had some trouble with the conveyor, it tested out the limits of our player controller :)

Thanks again for playing, I appreciate it!

Very neat concept, nicely executed. Maybe just lacking in UI indication but that's fine !

Developer

Thanks for your feedback !

Indeed we had a bug with the webGL version that do not print the enemies's arrow on the ground showing their next move. It works great in the windows build tho.. ;)

Love the polish on this, looks good and has some good music. The main mechanic is neat and makes for some good puzzles. Just wish that there was an indicator for where enemies will move and where teleporters take you so that it isnt trial and error.

Great game. You guys polished this nicely. Love the intro animation on the main piece. Some level feel very intimidating, as if the the puzzle difficulty spiked, but trial and error lead to feelings of satisfaction when a puzzle was solved. The warp mechanic is a great idea! You guys could send this on the market for sure.  I would say the arrow reset item sort of breaks the theming of the Jam, but there are games that have the one weapon mechanic where you pick up the weapon to reset having a weapon, so all is good.
A lot of challenging and fun levels with great music. Awesome work!
