Great little 'bullet hell of your own creation' game. I was terrible at it, of course.
Aaa watching this is so nice! Thank you for featuring it!!!
I love games where you are your own worst enemy and there is no game that fits that description better than this. I loved that I would start off by trying to plan to be clever knowing what would come and lining up my shots and a few lives in the whole thing devolves into chaos. Once I save this I'm going to give it another shot.
Aaaa thank you :)
Wow! Very original execution of the theme.
It took me a while to actually understand what was going on, but this game turned out to be much more fun than I expected. Thinking about your next move and being strategic about where you stand and shoot is a really cool feeling. Great job!
Now that's original! Great use of theme as well. And loved the sound design, very well done.
Really makes you think before shooting, just to eventually give up and shoot a lot and dance with your own little caos. So much fun!
Really cool concept! Its easy to game out the system for score, but its way more fun to play it chaotically. I could easily see this kind of mechanic implemented into something bigger – Good job!
Excellent use of the theme and a very original game!
I love bullethells, so this was fun for me. Congrats on the submission. Didn't get passed my 5 other clones.

I took part in the #GMTKJam too: You can play and rate my game here: https://kidando.itch.io/ninja-slicer
I would absolutely love to see this concept expanded upon. Different levels, different bullet speeds, perhaps other objectives that you also have to complete alongside killing your past selves and not dying? This idea that the player is directly controlling the difficulty of each run through blows my mind!
This is one of the best ideas I've seen for this jam, though the execution could use a bit more polish.
Right now it's much too easy to game the system and create a dominant strategy. What I did was simply have everyone go to the middle and shoot in the exact same direction each time, creating a snake of bullets that was pretty easy to avoid.
If you keep working on it though, I'm sure you can find ways to prevent the player from doing that. Maybe adding a few walls, or perhaps the targets you have to shoot could be something other than your clones.
Other than that though, really great entry.
