This is gorgeous. Kudos on the art direction. Conceptually it felt like Raft meets The Flame in the Flood and it's a great combo.
Controls on a keyboard were clunky and I was so, so bad at it until I pulled out a controller, and once I did I wanted it to be multiplayer - playing this with a partner/rival on the couch would be perfection.
Very Impressive experience! Love the art style and control, my best game for GMTK2020 so far.
Very fun micromanagement. I would like to have seen some more visual feedback when you get hit by the spitting fish, but aside from that presentation is top notch. I definitely get a out of control feel from this at the start, though as you progress and get better, I feel like less of that, as if I have learned the game already and now I'm "in control." If I could change anything I would change the start of the level. It's slow enough for beginners, but as people play over and over again they have to wait and wait until they need to do stuff. Not too sure what a solution would be, but that's how I feel.
Really cool idea and great implementation. Well done! I had trouble with the merfolk spitting at me :)
I love the art style and how it's implemented! The menu screen is real clever, and the control scheme doesn't feel contrived because you're not moving grid-to-grid. Cool!
One of the few games that I've actually wanted to play after testing to review
Absolutely stunning. I’m amazed at how less (when executed well) can mean more, so much more. I’ll learn a lot from playing this one.
The aesthetic (and economy!) of the visuals is impressive. Incorporates the theme in FUN gameplay. This is a finished, polished game. I'm pretty sure this'll make it into the top 20.
