Cool idea and your art style is really nice! I especially liked the horror vibe you get from the audio design and music!

This is a really cool idea and  concept!
The horde health adds a nice challenge and it was very easy to get and understand.  My only suggested would be pull the camera out a little bit? The screen space feels very compact.
Overall though I would say it was a neat little game! I really enjoyed it, good job.

This is a nice, little game. There were a few things I found kind of jarring about it. There really needs to a gap between the stages, as the bugs have a bad tendency of hitting you right as they spawn, giving you no time to react. I think the "play area" needs to be better defined, as it's too easy to wander off of the screen while trying to avoid enemy fire. Overall, I thought this was fairly fun. I managed to beat what I assume was the final enemy (since nothing spawned afterwards) on my second attempt.

It seems like the individual enemies had a bit too much health, but I really like the concept of a shared "horde" health bar in this context. Cool idea!

Nice job! I really like the art style and theme you guys went with. Reminds me of hollow knight. I think there were definitely a few bugs as you're probably aware and is normal in a jam. Namely after my first death when I replayed enemies didn't spawn. Additionally, the health bar appeared to be a bit janky, which was a bit inhibiting as that was your crux mechanic.

Overall I really liked it. We actually went with a top down shooter as well, would love to have you give it a shot!

U jumpscared me by suddenly changing the enemy into a big mammoth spider, but loved it

A bit buggy, but the idea is cool! The art especially stands  out. Nice work!

The music, lighting and art really creates a creepy atmosphere, I really felt it!
The shared healthpool is a cool idea aswell, I just feel like there could be more visual and auditory player feedback (more juice) but that's always hard to do in such a short time.
Good job Fishyladerino! :)

It's a unique idea and a unique twist on the theme JOINED TOGETHER. I did not expect the enemies to basically join together and share their health. It's a simple yet interesting concept. Good Job!

I'd like to mainly give feedback on the audio. The game's music is great at setting the atmosphere, and really complements the art and light choices to make a cool atmosphere. The shooting SFX is really nice, but possibly a bit too loud. Some more SFX would've been greatly appreciated, especially ones for getting hurt since otherwise it's hard to tell when you've lost a heart. Overall, it's a quite impressive combination of art and programming for 48 hours, great work!

Very fun, and nice art style, like the music, too! Overall nice game!

I think this might be the first game I played for this jam that had the enemies do the joining instead of the player. A neat concept, but pretty hard to convey when the health bar doesn't work well.

The idea is definitely unique and well made. However, horde health is kinda broken which made it hard to play the game and know how close I was to progressing.

nice art, i like it. But I think you need to work on game feedbacks, such as hits or enemy health

Nice concept! I like the art and particle effects! A small way to improve it would be to have a little more feedback when hitting enemies and having the health bar gradually go down. But overall good job!

Interesting concept!

You could add a hurt animation for the enemies (a color flash would work) to show that the enemy horde is taking damage, also the healthbar does not seem to update as it is always stuck at full. The enemies didn't seem to respawn after a few waves (is that where the game is supposed to end?)

I can see the potential for the game with this mechanic, but I would suggest to make it so the enemies also have their individual healthbar, when that healthbar goes down to zero, attacking that same enemy will not attack the horde, but the enemy can still attack you, that way it would encourage players to attack different enemies rather than just attacking one single enemy to defeat the whole horde.

Really interesting concept for a joint health bar as well as fitting art and music. Really fun to play

Fun idea to connect everything into a single big health pool, really keeps the difficulty constant throughout waves and might be something to explore for similar wave-based games! Though the music was slightly repetitive as some have mentioned I still think it fit the "feel" of the game, and the art was pretty good (I honestly really like the skull on the end of the horde health bar). Great job!

This is a really interesting concept, haven't come across anything like this before and I'm quite intrigued by the possibilities! I wonder if perhaps there something that one could do to make it a bit more dynamic, perhaps damaging the same enemy enough would cause it to enter a recovery state where it's invulnerable and disabled for a time, forcing you to turn your attention to other enemies as well as allowing you to temporarily disable particularly troublesome foes. Hmmm, lots of ways  you could go with this, though one change that would be nice would be to have the healthbar show the current health rather than only changing when they are below half. Awesome idea, and solid execution! Great work!

I thought it was interesting! Besides the more obvious bugs, there was something decent in there.
