Well implemented mechanic! Clean and simple and everything feels great! Good job :D
I LOVE it!
The mechanic is some simple, yet so interesting. Every time I figured out the solution, it felt so satisfying ; I could play puzzle games like this one for hours.
Only thing I wondered: is the fact you can't link the objects when only one of them is falling intentional? It feels like it should be possible to do so to stop a box mid-air, but maybe that's just me. This small detail alone won't make me like the game any less.
Excellent job!
Glad you enjoyed it. The lock objects only on ground part was intentional. Although locking mid air was a possiblity it kinda made hard to design some levels so we agreed against it and felt like it took away from the puzzle platformer nature. Although it is a possibility to add in the future.
Okay, so it was intended, good to know
I can understand why it would be difficult to design a level around it: if the player "misses the window" of the mid-air freeze, he could be stuck. Maybe some boxes would need to be fully stopped to be linked, and another type of items/box could be while in motion? I'm not sure...
The current levels are great though, so maybe such mechanic isn't necessary after all.
Thanks for the answer!
First level could use more of a gentle warm up to the mechanic but when I figured it out it was pretty fun!
Glad you enjoyed it. You are right a gentler first level would have been better.
its fun!
Interesting mechanic, more creative than a lot I've seen. Fun platforming as wel
Great puzzles and mechanics!
Super awesome! I love the mechanic used. So far in this jam I've seen a lot of games with things connected together physically, but this game really brings a whole new level to that idea. I couldn't get past one of the early levels, but I can tell this game has a lot of potential if it has original assets, and original music! Congratulations as this is one of my favorite games so far in this jam! Also great job making this within 48 hours!
Cute art! One of the more creative locking mechanisms I have seen this jam, simple but effective. I am not a huge platformer but this one did it for me!
Nice art style and concept. good work!
Cool concept and quality puzzles.
It's quite an interesting game, though it could use some polish! Had fun with it though ^^
Going to have to agree with some of the other commenters on the difficulty, at least for the first few levels. After I played a bit more, I was able to reason through a lot better. Whether the later levels were easier, or I just finally "got it" I don't know. Either way, I was engaged enough to play the entire way through, and overall quite enjoyed it.
I really like the design and general feel of the game, though the levels are a bit too hard on my opinion :)
I love the look off the green squid? thingy :)
a really cool concept with great puzzles to aid it. The art style is also really cute
It's super nice !!
Love the concept! Really nice game!
It looks really good, but the jumps are rough :D
Its nice but hot damn - each level was so god damn hard lol
The game was quite fun to play, and the level design is in accordance to the gameplay.
