That was hilarious to play! I enjoyed the theme of it, I used to always playing cooking games when I was younger so this was a good twist. I did have a few issues with the level though as it seemed that there were some collision not enabled and I accidently threw an arm through the world and had to resest :( but I had fun with it!

Funny (and cursed) take on the theme! The wonky physics reminds me of old school let's-play type games, it's pretty fun! I loved making the chairs spin like beyblades and fly all over the place, I am not sure how I got them to do it, but it definitely amused me.
Is the sandwich going to eat the chefs now?
This is a pretty charming game! The gameplay is a little glitchy (I almost got launched out of the map trying to drag a stool around haha) and there isn’t all that much to do, but it’s definitely amusing to hop around dragging body parts to the table in the centre.
If I have one recommendation, it’s to make it more clear which object you’re targeting at any given time, since it was a bit hard to tell sometimes when I’d picked something up and when I hadn’t.
Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely do that after the jam :)

Those are the kind of experiences we like to hear about! I replayed the game in the browser the other day and lost the last limb because it fell through the floor XD we deserve whatever ratings we get; for better or for worse T_T :)
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm uncomfortably aware of the several physics bugs we left in; but I think it's more to its charm :)
We wanted to capture 5hadowducks vision for the game since it was his idea. I think we pulled it off!
That said, after the jam we'll smooth a lot of the jank out while still keeping to its original charm.
Very funny game and an interesting twist, I had fun playing and platforming around! The sound effects are funny, the sandwich model is very well done and fitting for the games goofy nature! The physics were a bit off because some items clipped through the world haha, but I can't blame you since the game was made in under 48hrs. Good submission, had a good laugh!
This game feels like it should probably be illegal lol.
I don't even know what else to say :O
The game reminds me a lot of Goat Simulator. It's trashy but very funny and you enjoy playing the game. The chef is actually nightmare fuel. At some point the music stopped but the chef kept dancing, i guess he really liked the music. All in all i enjoyed playing your game. Good job.
Great idea, super creative! I didn’t fully understand the dancing chef, but I absolutely loved him anyway :) Also, the sandwich character model is too good. The olive eyes are hilarious!
I wish there was more explanation for why we were making a chef, especially when there was one dancing in front of us already…..although, I suppose a chef might make a sandwich when there is already one prepared, and I they make them to be eaten, so perhaps it’s best left unexplained xD
Definitely found some physics glitches, but that’s totally fair for a 48 hour 3D game. The only one I noticed that might have caused problems is that if you jump and grab a stool, you can then drop it through the floor. I did this once but was able to make do with the remaining stools in the kitchen. One possible way to fix that (and introduce a whole host of other problems) would be to keep the colliders on the stool while it is attached to the sandwich, à la “I Am Toast”, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that you tried that and the ensuing physics system chaos was too much to contain in the 48 hours you had.
Great work, hope you expand on it!
the chef originally was only going to dance when built. but we liked him dancing so much we just let him do his thing in the kitchen.
as for the physics, it was most of our first times doing anything 3D in Godot engine, probably would have been smoother if we had used unity, but we really wanted to give Godot a shot and we're pretty happy with what we got in the end given the time constraints and the learning curve.
Funny idea. Dancing Chef for the win. I was a little confused on what to do but I made my own fun out of it.
I clicked this game right when I saw that title, haha really clever! The game was hilarious and super fun. I thought it was really cool the objective was laid out on the floor as a little todo list with "torso" already crossed out. That was a really clever way of informing the player what they needed to do. Also I love the chef animation haha!
The game is quite fun. But what the chef doing fr haha. On a serious note the overall is good, the art, the music and the goal it's trying to acheive, but the physics are like (WHAT THE HELLLL), no but they are really funny although It made me glitch through the map lol. Had to restart the thing to complete the game. Overall fun game though, definitely a solid Jam !
What a game, i had a similar idea but i dropped it, i really love how you do this, is very funny and the bugs only make it better, really a piece of art.
Unusual use of the theme, nice game. I like the sandwich model. There were some bugs with the physics, but overall great job team!
Funny game I like the concept. The chef's model was 👌*sandwichkiss*. At some point music stopped for some reason. But in the end I did manage to find all the parts and cook my delicious chef. Nice game!

Sandwich Makes Chef is a hilarious twist on the cooking games genre. the face of the chef is what makes the experience way better xD, the sandwich looks hilarious, and the SFX make it funnier, the only regret I had playing the game is that I couldn't take some body parts from the dancing chef.

The game was surely short but it was still just a proof of concept for a game jam, somehow I'm glad you didn't push too much of it, this type of funny game can get boring if the amount of content/gameplay is given more than it should, even if the controls weren't smooth, I played it till the end and made my chef!
[ + + + + +] :: CREATIVITY
Perfect note for this one, you took the Jam Theme to a whole new hilarious level, and you made the idea even funnier with the art style you went with, the dancing chef with a creepy face, the sandwich olive eyes..etc. Great job on this one!

I was honestly hesitating between 3 or 4 on this one, I think the buttons on the menu, the title screen, and the win screen, in general, can be way cooler/funnier, using the classic Unity UI felt a bit lazy/incoherent with the rest of the style, but it's a game jam after all, maybe you guys ran out of time, I decided to go for 4/5 just cause the sandwich looks cute
Well done, and best of luck for the rest!

Thanks for the detailed review! I'm flattered to see that my template is getting around :)
One weakness of the template is that it's easy to forget to update the stars in the review summary after doing the detailed review. I think you forgot to update the Presentation stars.
4 and 5 stars? We're honored! I'm taking this feedback to heart:
- Consider taking body parts from the first dancing chef
- Smooth the controls
- Improve the UI layout
Oh, and we didn't use Unity, we used Godot 4.1. We're particularly proud of that feat, because it was our first game in that engine :)
Thanks again for playing our game!
