Funny take on the Chrome minigame, interesting mechanics - feels like it would play great on mobile. Fantastic artstyle, too!

Really good looking spin on the Chrome game. Everything is so colourful, yet very clean.

I noticed that cacti and other obstacles pass through the dino at high speed, so you can cheat a bit. Probably can be fixed by fiddling with the parameters of the colliders.

Well done!

This was a fantastic take on the chrome game! Good use of the theme, amazing presentation and lovely game mechanics. I got a HS of around 512, and my strat was to just make the stuff go up and down very quickly, rather than spin it around to dodge. My suggestion to stop players playing like that naturally, or at least somewhat stop them, is to have little "bonuses" that they might need to collect on the rotation wheel on different spots that might give bonus points. This could be hard to implement effectively without distracting from dodging, but it's just an idea :D

Fantastic work, keep it up!

Very cool game! I immediately wanted to play it on mobile as the joystick just reminded me of those UIs. It did complain that the game was not optimized for it, but worked for the most part. The movement just felt a bit too slow on mobile - I had to move my finger way too far to move the environment around. But overall really well done!

I really like the presentation on this one. So cute and polished. From sprite work, to game page. And the core mechanic is solid too. Thanks for making such a gem!

Love the aesthetics! At first I thought it was easy to move the obstacles around but the circular control made it more challenging. Great job!

Fun game with an original concept that I haven't seen in the jam so far. I got 256 points, which is a nice power of 2 so I'm happy with that.

Simple but fun game. Paying homage to the Chrome dinosaur game was an inspired touch.

Amazing ! Nice little game, simple but clever theme interpretation, really funny and not that easy! Nice job!

Nice little game but pretty hard to master, maybe making the ennemies colliders smaller to help the player could be better :D

A fun little spin on the Chrome dinosaur game. Might not keep your attention long, but it does revive the nostalgia with a little twist. Oh, and it's in technicolor!

Detailed Review

[ + + + + - ] :: ENJOYMENT

Flashbacks to the horrors of being without internet... AND THEN IT TURNS ON AND I LOSE MY DINOSAUR GAME!!! It was a bit unintuitive at first, but I got the hang of clicking in the middle of the screen rather than in the bottom right. I got up to 400 points to see if there would be any more events. The meteor had me curious. After a few repeated animation loops I decided I got as far as necessary. I'd give it 2.5 stars, but I'll settle on 3.

Edit: I think you did a good job with the enjoyment factor. I stand by my former comments, but it's more appropriately a 4 star experience than a 3 star.

[ + + + + -] :: CREATIVITY

I like how you took a classic browser game and gave it an interesting spin! I didn't think the underlying idea was particularly unique or original though. I think I would have wanted to see more ways of shaking up or enhancing the formula. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. We'll even it out from the last one, and call it good.

Edit: Added a star. You gave the game more dimension when you set up the obstacles with particular sprites for their layer. Also, I keep coming back to the meteor. It makes me happy :)

[ + + + + - ]  ::  PRESENTATION

Nice little ditty, and cute little animations. The meteor was my favorite. I just wish there were more things that happened during the loop. If there were, I'm sorry I didn't stay to see them.

Edit: Added a star. You did a good job with your sprites; they were well-placed, and that meteor?  *chef's kiss*

Confirming reviews. All categories are now four star. I also added edits to my post that explain why.

Really well made game. Moving all the obstacles at once and being able to move in all directions rather than just up and down adds both an extra degree of freedom as well as an extra level of challenge. Great job!

Haha that's so cute! I had a little bit of trouble controlling with my trackpad but that's on me. The art and sound effects are great, Good job!

Pretty fun little game. Art and music are cute, and the varying movement between different obstacles is nice. I feel like this would work well using an analog stick instead of controlling the circle with the mouse.
