Nice game! Some of the cards were a bit unclear at the start but after a few rooms you get how everything works. Balancing was really good, felt like there was a well-controlled difficulty!
Great job!

I love the up & down scale idle of the hero 😂
The game was quite challenging but fair, with many interesting strategies.
The music is well chosen also!
Maybe you spotted this bug already, but when dropping a card on the bottom border of the map, the card disappears and the character does not appear. By some dark magic however, I don't get blocked as I manage to make it appear anyway ^^
I forgot to read the instructions and tried to make the life of the hero as hard as possible. but the crazy thing is, i still enjoyed it even if im plapying it wrong. Lol. The game's concept as greatly implemented. Good job!
Really amazing game! The art is fantastic and the gameplay is really fun, I did run into a bug where my card would be under the UI, not 100% sure what caused it but I think it happened when I tried to put my card back into my hand, but not completely sure. I really enjoyed this one, great job!
I love the art style and it's impressive to have made a cool system like this in such a short amount of time. I would have liked to see some more parameters on the random generation for the room to make the progression more linear. And I think in some cases maybe the randomness becomes somewhat unfair as well even with the cards but that's all something that could be refined with time. Excellent work, I truly had fun playing!
I streamed gameplay here:
that is a very cool idea! and a great take on the theme :)
i probably only wish that there was an opportunity to move the items and monsters after you placed them, as sometimes you accidentally click to place something and right after that you understand it was a mistake, oops! maybe you could press the button 'submit' or something after everyone is placed, as it is in a way a strategy game :)
all in all, i had fun!
Really cool game!
A lot of features and a feeling of depth. Fun idea and easy to get into! Good pacing!
It seems that the game bugged out on me once and didn't place a monster but didn't let the room start so I couldn't progress. Other than that it was a really smooth experience, and it was fun to find out the various interactions. Good presentation, good gameplay, interesting concept!
my best is only 13 :(
banger of a game. the idea of designing a combat arena in a way that helps the "player" the most is so much fun. a lot of cards to maintain variety, traps/ice and fire tiles/healing thingy that are randomly generated for each map, health carrying over from level to level - it all works together so well and makes this a ton of fun even for someone like me who is pretty bad at games like this. great art too!
and pretty much all you'd have to do to expand this game further would be adding more cards and more room objects cause the base of the game is so solid.
amazing entry!
my only "issue" is that it was kind of hard to figure out where i can place the cards sometimes. like, from what i understand, theres a certain range around each object where you can't place another one, but it's not shown to the player in any way, so it gets a little bit annoying hovering over with the mouse trying to find the right spot.
oh, and i have a question: is it possible to line up the tnt goblin in a way that would get him to blow up more than one other enemy at once? i always tried to group him up with slimes and other monsters that move at similar pace, but i'd only manage to get just one of them when he exploded.
Thank you for your warm feedback!! We will absolutely work on the card placement in the future, it will be one of our first fixes :)
Yes! It is absolutely possible to line up the goblin with the other mobs, the easier way i found of doing this is putting him behind everyone because he goes a little bit faster, and then they go boom B) Also lava and traps make him explode immediatly, so that's another strat!
Thank you again and i'm happy you ad a good time playing! :)
Very cool game!
Its really fun to play and is very polished!
Also i really like the art and the hero walking animation :)
A fun and unexpected puzzle game! I liked learning the different enemy types and how to use the floor hazards to my benefit. My favourite mechanic was the coin that the hero beelines for, it added a lot of strategy. I felt that a lot of the levels (especially early ones) are very similar to each other - some new mechanics or more varied level design could really help this one shine. Nice work!
Very nicely done! It was strategic and developing. I didn't manage to beat it, my best was 16. Nice work!
What a great game! The idea is really curious and you put it into practice with a very enjoyable game. Well done!
Very creative idea, with some polishing and expansions I can really see this as a published game!
Very interesting and a good game!!! Almost finished product ready for mobile and steam, nice animations and music - 5 stars
Playing as the dungeon master to help the hero is really interesting! 🤔
In this one, I really found myself trying to find the most optimal way to win, like placing items as close as possible to the hero, having ranged enemies on spikes (since they don't move), or being super close to the player to get beat up fast. Finding the best way feels really rewarding! 👏
Great job! 😁
Brilliant concept, I found myself spending quite a bit of time at the start of each floor just planning the best path in my head for the hero before I placed my cards. I encountered the card bug (which I see you already know about) but I just restarted and was more careful with my card placement because I wanted to see how far I could get and what else would be added at later floors. I managed to get to floor 12. I could see myself playing something like this outside of a jam, I would just maybe lean more into the players consideration of card placements, maybe with the enemies and benefit cards all being more powerful? or maybe slimes that grow and get stronger the longer they are left alive. Great game, I'll definitely come back to it if you're going to be making updates after the jam
