Great game. the art is great and the AI is also really good. since it actually moves away from the player, which is way beter then mine. (My pac-man is stupid) and it just feels like an authentic arcade game. and its fun to see a pac-man game without pac-man, so you cant get copyrighted.

The copyright was exactly the reason to change the garfics and put the game into a new theme. And also creating grafics is probably the most fun part in creating video games for me.
I enjoyed the style and presentation. It was a cool concept, i think it's a super creative use of the theme :) good job :)
I thought the idea was decent and great job on the AI, it looks like it took a lot of work. But the controls were a bit finicky, would've been ideal with a grid like the original.
I also had a lot of trouble figuring out what I controlled and what my goal was. When the mouse was caught, the sound FX made me think I lost, so I spent a few rounds trying to figure out of I could influence other cats or if I was actually controlling the mouse etc. By the end, I figured I controlled one of the cats (the blinking one), but I still wasn't sure. Judging by the fact that I lost at the same time as a cat was eaten, I think that's right.

It is our first GMTK gamejam. We have participated in a few other gamejams though, but there was usually more time so the time pressure was quite a unique experience. We had to sacriface quite a lot of our ideas and plans for features, polishing and gameplay to be able to upload a somehow playable game.
Alright cool. This was my first jam and I also had difficulty judging what could be done in time and cut so many ideas for this reason. And was I the only one who felt this year's theme was a bit limiting? Many ideas I got were either heavy on AI or had boring game mechanics. My favorite subset of ideas were "behind the scenes" stuff, like with Toy Story but for games, but I couldn't find one I thought I could pull off in time, so I just settled on Peggle. I'm curious which ideas you sacrificed, that you'd do if you had more time

Good stuff. Very neat that you implemented the other AI cats as well. Sometimes they just do the job by themselves while I am watching, but the mouse at the end suddenly became smarter, picked the energy thingy and slaughtered everyone. 8330 score is good though I believe. Fun game. Nice work!
I love how it isn't just a pac man reversed game with regular pac man assets, but instead cute cat and mouse pixelart! The controls were a bit awkward though, sometimes the cat I controlled wouldn't go down smoothly or get stuck behind a corner. Seems like the player isn't locked into grid movement? Also every round the mouse always went to the right first, which made it predictable after a while. Good art though, I enjoyed it!
Thanks for your feedback! You are absolutely right. Why didn't i implement grid movement? Time stress i guess. That pacman always starts going right is a bug that was already corrected but seems to be still in the preversion we had to upload because of compiler problems.
I really liked the aesthetic and music! The mouse was surprisingly vicious while the power dots were active. I really liked your take on the idea, and changing the characters from ghosts to cats made it so much cuter! Great job!
I love that you can change which enemy you control at any moment, and I think you nailed the aesthetic, and ON TOP of that, its cat and mouse theme, 10/10

A solid flip of a classic game. Excellent idea and presentation.
The idea is really cool! I have seen many games that you play as the enemy but in pac man? the game is fun and great. Good job!
Very fun game with a great idea behind it. The presentation is super good too, simple but consistent and looks like it could have been a lost arcade game from the 90s. Excellent job.
We were fighting the deadline for the gamejam so we replaced some of the planed cool features with bugs and an unpolished ai instead. At the end even our compiler crashed so we had to upload a preversion which we created for exactly that purpose. Anyway, enjoy the hunt!
