Amazing art, animation, and sound! The puzzles and mechanics are also really clever! Some of the solutions felt really hard to execute with only the arrow keys, but that might have been me coming up with an overcomplicated solution, and not doing the intended one.
Edit: yep i was overcomplicating it lol

i love the art and animation! the level of polish is insane for 48hours

I love the concept as well, its a very clever puzzle game plus the title is hilarious

I was stuck on the first level with 2 houses :( the game is very well polished and the music and sfx are perfect, I wanted to play more

You can find an explanation of the mechanics in the game description, i think it's the level that's gotten the most people stuck.
You can also skip the level from the settings menu if you want

Awesome game, this is so polish! Never get tired of playing this game.

This was a fun and engaging puzzle game to me! I thought the simplistic graphics were wonderfully done. I loved the colors and art-style very much. Some of the levels definitely took me a few tries.

The little potato character reminded me of a Korok from Zelda and the hand had me thinking of Master Hand from Smash Bros. I just had to get the re-imagining on "paper".

Enjoy!

Wow! Getting art like this done for a jam game was definitely not something I was expecting, but this is amazing👏 thank you so much!

This was wonderful, well done!

Cool concept & creative puzzles, well-done

Awesome! 48 hours? I can't do such good. well done

The game looks, plays and sounds awesome, no complaints there.

I got stuck on one of the puzzles that convinced me this one required precise timing to complete (it was not level 3, activate fire just as the guy is passing over oil with barely any room for mistakes). That's probably not the solution, but it's kind of a big blunder in an otherwise expertly crafted little experience.

Otherwise I really enjoyed playing this one!

Haha nice title! Great game. Good looks, good gameplay overall.

Super creative puzzle game concept, great art style too!!!

I think it's really cool how the genre changes from survival to puzzle when you change the perspective. Speaking of the puzzles, they were so well crafted! I struggle to make good puzzles for game jams so it's really impressive how consistently well-thought out they were. Also just a really cute artstyle. Such a well put together game

love the the concept, the artstyle, and the controls were very fluid to use. a great case of using a central mechanic to its full potential. great job!

I feel very stupid do not have passed lvl 3 xD but I realized I was not alone - very cute presentation though! very polished as well !

From the music, to the art, to gameplay, this game was a joy to play! The puzzle design made it so satiating to figure out the perfect way to murk little bean boi. Top marks, thanks for making such a great game! (Level 3 could have some "sound waves" to convey how to solve it, but that's all)

Submitted

Really nice presentation and overall feel, puzzles are nicely designed but you, at least me, get easily stuck on some of them.  Despite that had fun playing.

Please consider rating our game.

This game shpuld be one of the winners. I'm in love with the art, the sound effects and even the gameplay. Just a nice game. Good job!

Submitted

Nice idea! The game is fun to play, and the art is amazing. Great job!

We thought about making a game with this theme before we decided, so I'm really glad you made it so I could still get to play one! I really had a lot of fun with this one - also got stuck for a while on level 3 but that's fine. We didn't even get to the stage of adding progressive difficulty to our game so good job!

Submitted

Its a very fun idea, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get past level 3

Developer

You're not alone,  the level has been mentioned in these comments before and it involves alerting the player from far away. There's also a skip level button in the settings menu if you still can't figure it out

Submitted

I can't see any way to alert them from far away... I did end up skipping the level but i'm still annoyed that I can't beat such an early one :<

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

It's fine, i don't want to spoil any of the puzzles here but if you can beat some later level i think it more than makes up for the one you skipped . That's what the skip button is for anyway

To avoid spoilers to future players also stuck in this level, the tree alerts the 'player' in a 'cross' shape on where it fell. The cross shape spans the whole level and can also scare the player through obstacles. (I guess this is also true for the fire)

Developer(+1)

Exactly, you explained it better than I did. For the game, the sound waves were all i had time to implement but perhaps a future update could make that a bit clearer
