Interesting concept. However everything was so small it was hard to distinguish what was enemies or myself. Also planes going sideways is kinda funny though

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ! I didn't have time to optimize my custom game engine for the itch renderer and thus these problems occurred . I have a fix ready that I will release after the jam ends

This was really cool, having to fight on multiple fronts. The UI in the bottom right was really helpful, but it was so hard to read! I couldn’t tell which dots were me, and sometimes I couldn’t even see it depending on the background.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ! This mostly happened because I made my own game engine and didn't have the time to optimize it for the itch renderer

Type of game I havent come across this jam so points for originality! The player model and enemies do turn a bit weird in terms of facing direction.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback !

The issue you are facing is coz I didn't optimize my engine for the itch renderer , I have a patch ready for it

Simple yet addicting gameplay, but the scaling definitely does make it a little hard on the eyes. With a little more polish and communication with the player, this concept has some serious potential.

Thanks for playing !

Super super impressive that you made this and made a game engine! Fantastic work!!

Developer

Thank you !

Creative Idea. I dont know why, but everything is walking with back in a front.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

I've already addressed that issue before , it's a problem with how my game engine didn't keep up with the renderer .

The concept is nice, but execution could do with a bit more polish! Here is some feedback, and I’ll try not to repeat what has already been suggested:

  • The visibility of the minimaps in the bottom right is bad, so it was hard to know if someone was close to dying or not. On that note, some SFX indicating that one of the levels is in danger would be excellent.

  • It would be good if the player ship tweened its angle smoothly to the mouse instead of snapping instantaneously. It just adds to the feel of the game!

Thanks for the feedback !

The game is a bit confusing, but the idea is alright.

Man i didn't get the game at first but when I realized how to switch dimensions without teleporting inside an enemy it became super fun. I like that it challenges you to deal with enemies in all of the worlds as fast as you can. Can really see it as a game with potential!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

I didn't have the time to implement a tutorial haha

No problem, I just had to re-read controls  a few times to get the idea. No big deal! Was fun to play

It’s a pretty interesting idea to keep track of 3 different modes, and the gameplay being on simpler side actually lends well with that.

I think some sort of indication that you are about to die on another screen would help a lot, so that you not just constantly scrolling through them. An interesting idea would be drawing the shadows of planes on ground screen, and shadows of spaceships on sky screen. Or you know, just add some UI indicator.

Other than that, there are a couple of problems like objects not rotated properly, and white font on bright background that is hard to read. I think you also don’t scale your viewport, you can see a lot more if you fullscreen the game.

All in all, good job.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

I'm aware of all this (apart from the viewport prob) and am ready with a fix for all those

great take on the theme no complains

I never thought I would ever play three games simultaneously, but here I am, haha. It's definitely stressful, but sometimes I really enjoy stressful games. The swapping idea is definitely unique. I can really see the potential here if you plan on working more on it. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game !!

Great Gameplay. SFX would improve the game a bit. the main problem is the rotation for me but you already know that. So Good Luck

Developer

Thanks for playing + the feedback !

Took me a moment to get the hang of swapping between the screens, but I quickly got into a flow state once I did. Great gameplay loop that I think has a lot of potential beyond just a jam game, which I think says everything.

I had a little difficulty making out the bullets and enemies. Perhaps they could have been larger on screen, or make to stand out from the background more, like with a border. And I'd have loved some juice for killing the enemies, such as a sound effect so I'd know I hit the enemy even if I went off that scene view (though the map was awesome for that!)

A very solid entry (and looking at the comments, making this in your own engine is crazy impressive, sheesh)!

Thanks for the feedback !

I have a version ready that fixes all your problems + a few more problems that others encountered . Just waiting for the voting to end to update the game :)

Considering this was made with an Engine made by the Developer makes it so much more amazing! I can't really comprehend how difficult it would be to build an engine from scratch. If this is some of the games you can build on it you are really doing a fantastic job, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing my game + for the feedback !

nice little game, the only issue is that the game is lowkey too easy, the enemies were too slow, it wasnt very fast paced, and another thing that annoyed me is the player rotation, it was messed up ;-;

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback !

You can adjust the slider at the start of the game to change difficulty . I have a version ready where the rotation is fixed , will release that after the jam ends .

Creative game. I liked how the theme was used. Cool story. I likes the way it was presented so a 5 for style. Overall solid game and would definitely be fun in a multiplayer situation.

Feedback:

I originally had trouble navigating the maps so a little guide would be nice. I knew what to do, just not how to do it. Overall not too bad tho :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

I'll make sure to fix this in the upcoming update

Idea was quite interesting. I liked mouse based switching instead of number pads other games used. And that small mini map was amazing addition! At the beginning I didn't see it and I was a bit frustrated for not being able to know where are enemies in other layers. Since you can switch into an instant death. But mini map fixes that.

For improvements I would suggest making everything a bit bigger, maybe I am just too old but it was a bit hard to see enemies and even your own projectiles.

Overall I did enjoy the concept,  it has potential to grow into something bigger, so keep it up and do not stop creating games!

Developer

Thanks for playing !

You're not old haha , I actually made  my own game engine and didn't have time to optimize it for all computers and so in my renderer , the sprites were pretty visible and big and the minimap had a background too which vanished when I uploaded the game . I'll surely fix this in an upcoming update .

Submitted(+1)

Very cool game! Really fast paced also its nice that you built your own game engine in 4 days (I know I cant). It would be nice if the camera followed the player but thats me personally. Good Job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

Funny game, music goes very hard, my only note is that in the first level the projectiles are not very visible

Developer

Thanks for the feedback !

Even I noticed that problem , it worked fine on my renderer but idk why it changed . It's not just the projectiles , the enemies and the player became slower and the level became bigger . This is probably I built my own game engine and didnt have time to optimize it
