Preety fun game but after a while it gets repetitive, I got to 100 ghosts and got bored

What fun! I feel like this is a game I could get into for a while. Trying to optimize your stats with the rolls you're given is tough but results in some fun problem-solving.

polished game, was pretty fun. a little repetative but makes sense for a game jam game imo. I like the variety of sound effects. I felt like sometimes I got hit by enemies when I didn't think I would (like the ghosts would touch the outside of the bow n arrow and that would count as a hit). Also I wish that when you rolled past 21, there was some button that could just let you restart the game instead of having to go into the battle knowing you were just gonna die immediately. Or maybe just have an auto game over if you roll 21.

I really liked the base idea, the graphics are nice too. My only concern is that's repetitive really fast. I guess, like a lot of games (hm, like mine too haha), if you had more time, you'd have added different enemies and more depth.

I think you have a nice base game that you can expand a bit for not so much work and make it really a fun experience.

I don't know if it was my poor choices but the game felt flat and cramped. I also didn't like the fact that the arrow cursor showed it going across the entire screen but the arrow itself would only pierce one enemy.

Excellent work! Definitely one of the best games I've played in the jam. It feels very well polished with nice graphics and sounds. The gameplay itself was a nice compelling loop with the gambling for custom upgrades and I thought the difficulty curve was nice.

Awesome concept. I almost went with a similar idea where you rolled dice and chose which stats to apply them too. 

Some notes: 

  • The player hit box felt too big
  • Felt like not enough space to move around
  • I like that enemies drop ammo, but having them have a chance to drop health would be helpful

Great game!

I won't say what so many others have said. I, too, expected arrows to pass through enemies and hit multiple in a row.

Different enemy types would have been nice.

I feel like punishing the player that hard for an additional roll isn't great. It's an instant death sentence. Maybe deduct the last rolled die and disallow further rolls instead? With a 6+4+6=16, it would be tempting to roll once more. If I do and I pass 20, deduct the last rolled die (6) and let me play with the 6+4 instead of with no dice at all.

Some sort of improvement system would be nice. The enemy hordes always improve, but we never do? Also, it might be fun to encourage unbalanced stats. Right now, evenly distributing stats seems good, but playing with lots of ammo and health in one game but little speed and being a speedy boy with just one arrow in the next seems fun, but it isn't ideal. Players will optimise the fun out of games.

I somehow felt instinctively that the arrows would go through multiple ghosts. That didn't happen to be the case lol. In my opinion, that could make choosing the position to shoot more thoughtful. Just my opinion, of course. Great game! 5/5

Whole lot of fun! Really strong concept, presented very well. The central gameplay loop is a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed experimenting with focussing on different upgrades on different loops.

Really like the idea! Feels really smooth, pleasing visuals and sounds. 

I feel that more enemy types, arenas and dice possibilities should be added. The potential is very high! Would love to see more :)

Good game! I liked the concept and the gameplay was pretty fun since you have to think about which stats you should prioritize before playing. I'll just echo what the previous comments said, I wish there was more variety in the enemies. Other than that, good job! Interested in what this game would look like after the jam.
