Had to give away a finger but pulled it off in the end, great game had fun. I really loved the forge mechanic, it made the game really fun. Cards were really well drawn, the sound and animation when the cards are handed is pretty satisfying. Only thing I would add is maybe a background song when playing.  Great job!

I lost, game’s rigged, dealer cheated. lol. Really cool take on blackjack, more violent than I expected. Good work!

Interesting twist on blackjack!

Great job! I really enjoyed the unique twist you added to a classic game! I played all the way through and the only suggestion I had was that the option to forge shouldn't be available if you don't have the 25 chips to use it.

I played through this 4 times, and thoroughly enjoyed it.  As someone that knows a bit about blackjack, it was interesting to see the forge card mechanic.  My main strategy was pairing a 10-card with a low card to give the most options when drawing.  It is a bit unfortunate that you lose the other 6 cards when forging- as I thought at first I could build a card from 2 of the 4 sitting on the table.  I think there should be some kind of indication to the player that you are only picking one card from the options.  It was also unfortunate that tying counts as a loss instead of a push, like in traditional blackjack.

Overall I think this game has great potential with some small tweaks.  Good job!

Cool game! Nice card forging mechanic. The cards being ripped and joined was satisfying :) Couldn't get too far into the game before getting bust. Great job on the initial story animation (however an option to skip it in future runs would be helpful). Overall this is a neat idea and well executed.

As a Vegas fan, always down to play some blackjack! Really liked the way you included the forge concept with blackjack. Very cool game! Only complaint, ties went to the dealer rather than being a push, lol! Great game!

Maybe I have a gambling problem, but I loved this game so much! The blacksmith is a pretty cool mechanic, an  original spin on the theme.

Oh man I had a frustrating game against the dealer. They got 21 three times in a row. Wowzers. Quite polished. Well done.

I actually wrote a blog post about doing 3d look rotations in 2d. Lol. https://simonhartcher.com/3d-look-rotations-in-2d-with-godot-4

Thanks for the kind words, your blog post is interesting, I might use it if I ever make another card game.

This is very cool. With balantro coming out it opens a lot ideas about changing classic games in a cool way and I think this is one of them.

A very unique take on the theme. The forging mechanic is really smart and it opens a whole new dimension of hitting or standing. As another comment had stated, I would also like the animation to run a little bit faster.

Nice game with a fun concept. If you flesh this out, I would change all the animations to be faster so that the whole game moves a little quicker

That was fun! Great opening cutscene, good use of the forging mechanic, and the sound effects were nice. I would have loved some sort of background music while playing, but otherwise I had a great time.

Played it all the way through
I liked the idea, but I would've liked the AI to be more "aggressive" (better rng) to encourage more use of the forge.
Great job

This is a really interesting spin on blackjack. I was definitely hooked. This is a proof that a nice simple interpretation of the genre that make a great, fun game.

Cool idea with a good story intro and cool that the forged cards stay in the game. Cool little spin on an original game!

Only thing is I would have liked was a skip button for the intro or to have the game continuing with the same forged cards.

Absolutely love the unique concept! Keeping your previously forged cards is a great concept too, would be curious to experiment more and see what the best combinations are to really stack the deck on longer runs

Just the intro already is a masterpiece, classic cooler board x) ! The sfx of the cards are on point, with the rifles etc, for someone who loves handling/playing with cards. Very polished overall, maybe a chill background song (almost elevator music) could really fit it all together, while making your decisions, because no card sfx are playing there :p

Overall this is a very solid entry, nicely polished, and the forge mechanic is a nice twist that adds complexity to the classic game of BlackJack, which is always fun to play (without real money ofc, it's a scam, but shhht !)

Super cool game and concept!!! I played longer than I should. Imagine my surprise when the forge cards came back!! I could flip them again!! Just when I thought BlackJack can't get better, you go and prove me wrong.

I loved the starting narrative being told through cards!! Very very strong entry, sublime!
