Really enjoyed this! Art, audio and theme are great. I thought the controls were easy to pick up. The AI projectile trajectory could be a bit off at times, but I'm sure this could be enhanced if needed. The level of difficulty was just right.
I played until level 25! :D
If I understand correctly, the enemy tries to predict my direction to attack. If I'm moving left, it fires further to my left instead of directly at my current position, correct? I had the impression that the shot is going too far to the side, perhaps the adjustment should be smaller or take into account the average movement of the last few seconds instead of just the current movement (although I know that doing this is a little more complicated). I say this because sometimes I would adjust my character to the side and the enemy would shoot towards the wall, and the greater the distance between us, the more visible this difference was.
Another thing is that enemies absorb bullets from other enemies, I think it would be more interesting if this wasn't the case, as it would make the level a little more chaotic and difficult.
Other than that, super creative and fun. I loved the art and the sfx. Congrats!
OK, finally got around to playing this and it’s great! The only browser performance problem I saw was a stutter when (I think) a particle effect is first used. Otherwise, very smooth gameplay performance. The music, art and juice are fantastic and all very polished. Superb entry!
I was surprised controllers don’t seem to work… still, didn’t affect the fun.
I really enjoyed playing. Really liked the 2D and 3D mix. The animations and sound effects were amazing. Great work!
Cool game! i got to round 17, the stapler and rubber band guns are awesome!! would love to see some stationary themed boss battles if this were to continue development!
Very silly little game. I kinda wish I could keep buying upgrades from the shop instead of it running out :( I wanted INFINITE DAMAGE
I was playing on the browser window, the game would not go to full screen, the problem is related to mouse capture, if the game window was focused and the mouse captured, then mouse sensitivity would skyrocket to ludicrous speed :), if the window would lose focus (by pressing escape) then the mouse movement would be somewhat fixed. I also have a multi-screen setup, I don't know if that could contribute to the problem. I'm using Firefox on Linux and KDE Plasma as DE.
I saw your progress video posted throughout the week and I was so excited to finally get to play. The tiki themed stationary is so clever and the art style is great. The weapon ideas were a lot of fun and good use of sticking to the stationary theme. This was a lot of fun to play. I got to round 11 before I accidentally backed up into a lava pit! Great job!
I absolutely loved everything about this!
Fun to play, amazing art and the funny sounds :-D
I had a little bug were my screen would constantly move ever so slightly to the right. But still playable.
Overall a nice game that helped me pass the time during breaktime :)
Cool Doom-Clone and good graphics and sounds and animation. Gets quite repetetive fast. I loved the flying staples. Would have loved if the weapons had more impact, and bigger dmg numbers. Cool feature that the enemys aim in front where they think the player will go.
Solid Entry! Well done!
So much fun! I loved the art, sounds, and gameplay loop. Was always excited to see what would show up next in the shop. lol I must've died like 3 times before I realized I was backing up into lava . Great Work!!
