This was awsome mate! The music is slick!

Developer

Cheers! Thanks for giving our game a play!

Really enjoyed this! Art, audio and theme are great. I thought the controls were easy to pick up. The AI projectile trajectory could be a bit off at times, but I'm sure this could be enhanced if needed. The level of difficulty was just right.

Developer

Thank you! I know our devs put a lot of effort into  trying to balance the game - more can always be done, but it'll require time. Happy you enjoyed the experience.

Super well done, I loved the art style!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the game and our quirky characters.

I played until level 25! :D

If I understand correctly, the enemy tries to predict my direction to attack. If I'm moving left, it fires further to my left instead of directly at my current position, correct? I had the impression that the shot is going too far to the side, perhaps the adjustment should be smaller or take into account the average movement of the last few seconds instead of just the current movement (although I know that doing this is a little more complicated). I say this because sometimes I would adjust my character to the side and the enemy would shoot towards the wall, and the greater the distance between us, the more visible this difference was.

Another thing is that enemies absorb bullets from other enemies, I think it would be more interesting if this wasn't the case, as it would make the level a little more chaotic and difficult.

Other than that, super creative and fun. I loved the art and the sfx. Congrats!

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback - I'll let the devs answer, concerning the enemy bullet trajectory as I have no clue what they've done! And well done reaching level 25!

Developer (1 edit)

The projectile predicts where it hits based on velocity, so if the player is holding moving or stationary the projectile will hit - made them a bit stronger instead of just stationary the location from the AI

OK, finally got around to playing this and it’s great! The only browser performance problem I saw was a stutter when (I think) a particle effect is first used. Otherwise, very smooth gameplay performance. The music, art and juice are fantastic and all very polished. Superb entry!

I was surprised controllers don’t seem to work… still, didn’t affect the fun.

Developer(+1)

Happy you got around to testing our little game - Thank you!

The stutter is a know issue we'll be trying to address. Concerning using game controllers, we had that up and running at some point, but think we cut back to ensure compatibility on all platforms for the Jam.

I really enjoyed playing.  Really liked the 2D and 3D mix. The animations and sound effects were amazing. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

Enjoyed playing-especially once I got the staple shotgun- and I'm impressed at the art/animations, great work!

Developer

The staple shotgun and rubber band gatling gun definitively adds to the experience! Thank you for playing, and the kind words concerning the visuals.

Cool game! i got to round 17, the stapler and rubber band guns are awesome!! would love to see some stationary themed boss battles if this were to continue development!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, and well done making it that far, glad you liked our selection of weapons.

Concerning boss battles, we had planned to have the coffee mug as a boss, but just ran out of time to do it properly.

Very silly little game. I kinda wish I could keep buying upgrades from the shop instead of it running out :( I wanted INFINITE DAMAGE

Developer

Me too! Me too.

Just realized I didn't say but I loved it, it was really well made!

Thank you so much!

The web build is unplayable for me, I'm glad I tried the desktop version. Fantastic game, the style, the graphics and the audio is so much fun, nice take on the theme. Very well done, strong contender for the jam.

Developer

Thank you for giving our game a second chance by getting the desktop version, and sorry to hear the web build didn't work for you - was this playing full screen? Would you be able to tell us which browser and system you used?

Really happy you enjoyed the experience otherwise.

Submitted (1 edit)

I was playing on the browser window, the game would not go to full screen, the problem is related to mouse capture, if the game window was focused and the mouse captured, then mouse sensitivity would skyrocket to ludicrous speed :), if the window would lose focus (by pressing escape) then the mouse movement would be somewhat fixed. I also have a multi-screen setup, I don't know if that could contribute to the problem. I'm using Firefox on Linux and KDE Plasma as DE.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, highly appreciated! We'll keep note of it, and see if its something we can fix our end.

I saw your progress video posted throughout the week and I was so excited to finally get to play. The tiki themed stationary is so clever and the art style is great. The weapon ideas were a lot of fun and good use of sticking to the stationary theme. This was a lot of fun to play. I got to round 11 before I accidentally backed up into a lava pit! Great job!

Developer

so happy you took your time to play our game and enjoyed it, and sorry to hear you ended up in the lava pit! We had planned to add more weapons, enemies etc. but we had to cut back to focus on the game mechanics.

Funny :-)

The only thing I'd wish is a minimap.

Developer

Thanks!

Thought about that but couldn’t fit in the 9 days

Really enjoyed playing this game. It's fun and challenging.

Thank you for trying our game - happy you enjoyed it!

I absolutely loved everything about this!
Fun to play, amazing art and the funny sounds :-D

I had a little bug were my screen would constantly move ever so slightly to the right. But still playable.

Overall a nice game that helped me pass the time during breaktime :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, love you loved it! Oh maybe fullscreen if it wasn’t might help?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Tried it out. Playing fullscreen actually resolves the issue! (:
Edit: In fact not just here. In any of the fps submissions. thank you :-*

Developer

Welcome!

Thanks! Great you enjoyed! :)

Cool Doom-Clone and good graphics and sounds and animation. Gets quite repetetive fast. I loved the flying staples. Would have loved if the weapons had more impact, and bigger dmg numbers. Cool feature that the enemys aim in front where they think the player will go.
Solid Entry! Well done!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah can be repetitive for re-using levels but I was happy it progresses. Thanks for your feedback and happy too you thought was a solid entry :)

A very nice and fun little "boomer shooter", I loved all: the art, the music and the gameplay. Only small note: the adherence to the theme of the jam is a bit borderline... But personally I don't care, the game is solid anyway!

Developer(+1)

Thankyou! I love your amiga bouncing ball profile pic too :D. For theme we have a Eraser enemy; erasing enemies and player when dying; and the story that Jason Drawn where his memory was erased, but was a hard theme.

Great that you loved our game! :)

Submitted(+1)

Yes, I'm a looong time Amiga lover!!! "Copper" is one of the coprocessors of the Amiga! ;-)

Developer(+1)

Never was lucky enough to have an Amiga nor a C64 back in the days, but remember playing games at my cousin on his Amiga 2000... Gosh i'm old! :D

Anyway, thank you for playing our game, and for the nice feedback

Submitted(+2)

So much fun! I loved the art, sounds, and gameplay loop. Was always excited to see what would show up next in the shop. lol I must've died like 3 times before I realized I was backing up into lava . Great Work!!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it - and yeah, look out for those lava pits!
