Really clever interpretation of the theme, I looooove the mechanic of hiding in folders. The art was good, controls felt good and the music complimented the atmosphere. The lighting felt a little too dark and the the game felt really challenging but I think you have a really solid base here! Really great entry!

I really liked the style, the mood, and the music. However I think the game might be a little bit too much, as I was straining uncomfortably to see what was going on, and at times even missed what killed me. I did appreciate the procedural changing of the rooms.

Really cool idea. I like how you flipped the theme on its head. Hiding in the files was a pretty cool mechanic, and I like how many different enemy/traps you got implemented.

I did feel that the darkness was a bit intense, and some of the traps were a bit hard to identify. Like the spikes were hard to see, and there was one room, that Trashcan room, that I’d die before I could realize it was there and it would suck me in from the side.

Its a really good start to a game, and I like the customizations you added for the character. With some polish I could see this being even more fun! Really well done!

The little file is so cute. I really felt bad every time I died. I didn't realize I kept running into traps at first. I thought it was part of the plot and it was supposed to happen lol

Developer

lol, thank you! He is adorable. The traps used to be worse when they were the same color as the floor, hehe

Really cool game, loved the game play and art/audio. The game controls were really easy to figure out, I did have trouble seeing the dangers with how dark the game & stone floor were but that could also be a skill issue on my part haha! Overall great game & great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! I ended up adding light orbs in the shop to make the game brighter, but I guess I should have just made it bright from the start. I was sort of going for a spooky vibe.

The effects look pretty cool!

art is nice, audio is nice

The explanations of how you died seem to "take too long" at first.
But are actually helpful once you start trying to figure out the game's mechanics.

The only down side I'd say is, I couldn't figure out a way to spot any dangers, or hide in time, even if I knew what they were :(

Thank you! Yeah, I mostly intended for the explanations to only be seen once, but ended up just adding a skip button in case you forgot. In the easier version I attached in the description there were more folders so it would be easier to find hiding places. For the Virus Detector (the thing that comes around every 40 seconds), you just need to wait for it to pass while in a folder which you can tell when your light flickers. If that's what you mean.
