Game Description
In fast retro platformer you wield the power to erase aspects of the world around you! Choose to erase the prosperity, people, or water! Each reshaping the environment in surprising ways. Will you create an easier path, or plunge the world into chaos? Navigate the shifting trees and towers to collect all 10 fruits!

How does your game tie into the theme?
Erasure is at the core of the games stage design and layout. Altering the world dynamically changes how you jump through the world based on what you remove from the Cauldron at the very beginning. Each option impacts the world, affecting movement, obstacles, and challenges to collect all 10 fruits.

A neat little platformer. Nice work on the mechanics!

I really like this plateformer, the level design was really good (exept at the 3 sign warning XD) I would have prefer if the mouse button was on keyboard instead, Also probably disbled moving when you died because since the animation shift sometimes you died but your character appear nice without issue so you return at the start without knowing why. The shader is sick, it match well with the game

Developer

I agree, the mouse is a bit awkward but the idea was to have those buttons not be awkward or interrupt the left hand when moving with WASD. It's something we would have worked through with more time, but that's a game jam for you!

True, If that can help a layout i like is arrow Key and Z,X,C,Shift, space. Lot of game use that. I also have see stuff like WASD to move with JKL for other stuff like map or dodge, it's rare but i found it great too .... For plateformer i personnaly don't like using mouse (exept if the game is intend to be played with it like for aiming). You can play with 2 hands on keyboard, it's not limited to WASD and around, you just need to do a tutorial for the controls (not like my game this jam XD)

What a cool platformer! I like how you implemented the theme, with different layouts based upon what choice you made. An indicator for how much health you had would be nice, I also noticed going up slopes was a bit wanky - but that’s tough to code for in general haha.

Well done!

The game has a really interesting vibe, and I really like the crt shader. I did find the parallax a little distracting as the tree line is moving faster than the game but the game level is closer so should be faster, all of the trees relative to each other are moving correctly just the whole thing should be slower than the game elements. Lots of levels impressive amount of work!

Now this is a real treat. This reminded me so much of an old flash game, I think it was called Pig Sheriff or Save the Sheriff or something. Bravo

Super unique idea on how you used the erase theme! Loved playing and seeing how each choice of erasure had different results for the game play. Really well done, great job!

A solid platformer entry! The pig and the setting gave me some vague Tomba! vibes. I liked the ability to toggle the shader and the controls felt solid. I imagine it was related to time - but a bit more feedback on taking damage would have been appreciated, it felt a little unclear how much health/damage I had. I really liked the art style and appreciate the music as well, good work!

Developer

Im glad to hear your opinion on the shaders! There were a few things I really wanted to have in the game for the user experience and toggling the shaders was one of them!

You also hit the nail on the head.  A health bar or more information being passed to the player was something that was lost in the rush of completing it in time. Finding a way to display health that was pleasing, and not invasive just wasn't in the time budget, unfortunately.

I'm really bad at platformers with a keyboard/mouse, so I only collected 4 fruits. But I had fun doing it. I really liked your take on the erase theme. I played around with deleting all 3 of the choices. I started with the humans, so the other two times the humans were absolutely brutal with my terrible playing skills. 😂 I really appreciated the ability to turn the retro screen shader on/off. Great job with this game!

Run piggy, run!  The running to a long time to build up, but I liked the feel of it when he got going :D

Nice platformer, good graphics. It takes a bit of effort to get used to the controls, but after that is fun!

That is a very good platformer, I see you guys put a lot of effort into it, the graphics are great, and the controls are very fluid. Also, the level design is especially good.

There is only one thing that bothered me a bit. At some point, I got into a white-background level, where anytime I fell I got into an infinity trap. That map was a bit too punitive for my taste.

Great job, congrats to the whole team!

Thank you so much, and yeah we were in the last mintue rush and that level is not fully done (hence the 3x warning signs haha)
