Before any “official rules set”, before Gary Gygax published Dungeons & Dragons in 1974, there already were people playing roleplaying games. It was a fresh, fun, and freewheeling kind of game. And each group wrote their own rules and rulings. Yes, Original D&D was not the first RPG. This Jam is to encourage more and more this kind of game. It's for presenting a minimalist system that uses the basics of a roleplaying game. You have a bunch of players playing worlds of high adventure and intrigue. You have a neutral referee who builds and runs the scenario. Just like David Weseley's Braunstein or Phil Barker's Tékumel.

I have my own easy-peasy freeform rules that allows me to play any setting I want, published or not. Most of the times, I won’t roll my dice. Diceless gaming has been around since the beginning of our hobby. And playing without dice is very easy. In our childhood we had the most amazing adventures and breathtaking journeys into the world of imagination, don't you think so? As kids, we didn’t use dice to do that. And you won't need dice as grown-up person as well!
