Description
Theme : I went for The Lost City, not the picture.

3 tracks.

Viroth : Small introduction to the enemy of Nexopolis

Nexopolis :First introduction to the city and the exploration of the ruins while Viroth is still tracking us which you will heard the sound design that represents it.

Cy'Pherion: The Core awakening, the tracks starts very soft and ambient and switch to a more sci-fi, synthwave track to represents the environnement.

Nexopolis : The Awakening Core
Lore:

In the year 5347, Nexopolis is a city full of secrets, once bustling with life but now overgrown and quiet. Most of humanity is gone after a massive disaster. The city holds the key to bringing the planet back to life through special core fragments scattered around.

Viroth, a robotic guardian, was supposed to protect the city but has become corrupted. It now sees everyone as a threat. Players explore Nexopolis, trying to find and fix these core fragments to restore hope and life to the planet.

Game Description:

"Nexopolis: The Awakening Core" offers a gameplay experience similar to "Nier: Automata," blending action and exploration. Players move through the city, fighting enemies with a mix of weapons and skills.

As players repair each core fragment, they gain new abilities. These abilities help them fight better, explore more areas, and solve puzzles. The more they explore, the more they learn about Nexopolis' history and the disaster that changed everything.

Players face Viroth, the main enemy, in challenging battles. By the end, they must decide the city's fate.

The game combines fast action, exploration, and a gripping story, inviting players to uncover the mysteries of a world ready for rebirth.

Description of Setup (Optional but recommended)
Setup :

Majority of the synths have been sampled of created from scratch using Phaseplant and some granulation.

Viroth was made using a zipper that I processed alot in PhasePlant.

All the bass sounds are made with my sampeld Ukulele that I pitched down and processed.

Most of the synth pads are also used by sampling either my upright piano or my acoustic guitar inside a granulator.

Lots of EQing, dynamic EQ some sidechain to let pass some of the bassy sound especially in Nexopolis to create a "wobble" effect.

I love the sound design for these tracks. Very good sound selection as well. Nothing feels too harsh or out of place.

Listening to these three tracks has been quite an intriguing experience, especially from a composer's point of view. The first track feels more like an exploration of soundscapes rather than a traditional musical piece—it’s fascinating how sampled noises can evoke such texture and atmosphere, even if it doesn’t follow a conventional melodic or harmonic structure. The second track, with its extended pad on a single note, challenges the listener to focus on subtle shifts in timbre and dynamics. While it might feel minimalistic, it’s a bold statement in patience and restraint. Finally, the third track starts to unfold with more musical elements, and it’s here that I feel a stronger connection as a composer. The interplay of ideas and development hints at a narrative, which makes it the most engaging of the three for me. Each track, in its own way, offers a unique perspective on what music can be, and I appreciate the creativity behind them, even if they don’t all align with my personal approach to composition.

Loved the synths! The ambience set on the beginning is really good

I love your tracks. I've noticed how exceptional you are at setting up a mood/tone that carries on to the next. The story you've come up with these tracks is also nice and is present through the instrumentation and sound design.

Cool stuff, I love the synth it's really added to the atmosphere, the last one is different with the other 2 and just perfect build up. is it just in my head or what but that 3 track is literally 1 big track, I love it.

I really enjoyed the vibe between tracks, they mesh well into each other!  The mix is easy on the ears and I liked your approaches to sound design.  The callback to Viroth at the end of "Cy'pherion" was pretty cool, too.  Awesome job!

Awesome to hear your approach to sound design experimentation.  Viroth sets the stage for the haunting atmosphere of Nexopolis.  I hear unseen, ancient lifeforms lamenting over me trespassing into their world.  Cy'Pherion really shines here.  You know how to create a memorable, striking melody and use it to great effect.  I was expecting to hear the melody loud and prominent during the crescendo, but you restrained, and gave it to us at the end of the song.  Such a classy choice.

Mixing is incredible.  The contrast between your tracks makes for a very memorable journey.

I love that you immersed me in the atmosphere of your work, not only with the music but also with the descriptions to it. It's very creative work and I think it's always a plus when people share not just a general description of the music, but truly immerse the listener in their world.

In my opinion this is true ambient, great sound design, it's very easy to hear the nuances you talk about in the description. It's simple to build this Lost City in your head.

A marvelous piece of work!

Heh, kicking ass as usual! :)

The last track definitely is definitely also my favorite. I love the little motif at 1:17. But it's also overall just mixed well.

Great work!
