I have not come up with a title yet.

If anyone reads the ideas below and think of a good title let me know, im clueless

The idea of the game, is about the MC going falling into a deep dream, without an escape he has to find his way out.

and, comment if you'd prefer it 1st person or third person. I can't decide.

Planning on making a full story about this, although as I only have 2 week it will not be long.

Things done:

  • Setup the starting "scene" with bed transition to the forest (getting this much smoother but the code is working)
  • Setup the forest
  • Setup the main character + the movement

Things I need to do:

  • Fix up the scene at the start, making it smoother
  • making a more story aspect, writing, thinking about a good concept.
  • Making a quick cut scene at the start of the game, so you dont just spawn into the world in the house
  • making the main dream-land, and thinking about what you actually need to do there lol

Ideas for the Dream-Land

Although it has a nice feel to it, I want to explore a darker side of the MC's mind, making a Cave like structure and going deep into his mind. which I plan to add to the story. I want some challenges, like mind puzzles. although, big scope. little time, so chances are will not be this broad.

I thought it would be a cool idea to have a companion in the dream-world.

So I added a wolf, who once tamed will follow you around!
I have also added a feature that once you leave the dream world; the wolf will appear in your house! As a trophy for completing this "level"

this way, in the future. If i add more "dream worlds" you can collect more companions which you can use whenever :)

one level at a time though.

Things to do:

Add more animations to the wolf

Add a Cave like structure to escape the dream-land.

Host

ohhh this is really cool looking so far. i like the depth buffer shading for the dream sequence. this is an awesome start and i'm really interested to see what kind of narrative you'll go with for this project!! best of luck with the jam!

First person feels perfect for the effect of witnessing the dream firsthand! Seems really intriguing :o
