  • interesting idea laid out in GDD. Solid foundation. with some UI and music you can engage the player more

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
You play as a new resident of a supernatural town where shadows lurk around. Your neighbor hires you to help him study them. My plan was to make an overworld where you can see shadows pop up on the screen that the player had a short window to click on to have a chance to collect it or start a fight. The game play was supposed to be reminiscent of the boo minigame in New Super Mario Bros where the shadow will turn the screen dark, making the player use a flashlight to uncover it. Two shadows could be mixed to create a new shadow. There is 3 types of shadows: Myth (from old stories), Epitome (the embodiment of an emotion or belief), and Animated (shadows come into being from the accumulation of strong emotions).

Extra Notes
I made this myself and this is my first Godot project. I want to work on this game a bit more rather than put it down after this game jam. Sorry for the scuff

your idea for the game is interesting, and even though you may have over scoped this time, if you take the time to complete it after the game jam I would love to see it in a more complete form. also it seems like the GDD link does not lead to anything.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
