Albert Krueger is definitely a suspicious, dangerous man (?) but his therapy sessions were incredibly fun to experience. The mechanics were simple yet also hide a pleasant twist, and the music is delightfully crunchy. It matched the pixelated graphics perfectly. I also love how the game's story walks you hand in hand through each of the three endings until you finally arrive at the conclusion, which I like to think is the 'true' true ending. Upon completion, it feels like you've reached the end of a journey, even though the game itself is rather short.
But the most important takeaway for me is the fact that Mr. Krueger is viewed as another human being throughout the story. Taylor may not be comfortable around him, and may even fall victim to his murderous schemes in a couple routes, but they still manage to see past the black and white monstrous villain mindset that I so often see directed towards characters like Albert. Seeing him portrayed as a person, no matter how sick and flawed of a person, is extremely refreshing. I truly loved playing through this, and would gladly do so again!
OMG THE LOREE IS INSANE LIKE I COULD GO THERAPY FOR IT. I LOVE THE MINIGAMES AND ENDINGS AS WELL AS THE VISUALS. THE COLORS ARE *CHEF KISS* ❤️❤️😭😭
Only thing I disliked was not allowing us to skip dialogues. I understand the reason, but it was still tiring!
(note: some of the dialogues has changed and referred to previous gameplay. Perhaps also to continue the cycle of dreaming or deja vu.)
