A downloadable game for Windows.

This was a really cool little experience. Love the colours and waiting to find out what happens next!

A downloadable game for Windows.

This was my favourite game that came out of the haunted ps1 jam and there were a lot of cool submissions! I loved getting to see the stuff you were showing in the discord in game. Some of the puzzles were hard to figure out due to darkness + busy textures, but I was able to solve them all and get to the end of the game! The bosses were fun and interesting and the story was fun to follow along with. Really well done!

This idea was really neat and I liked the text walking up to the scene. I think what probably would have made the experience better is if it was harder to outrun siren head, so that I could hear more of the recording while running to get away and maybe if the title and picture didn't spoil the monster so much so I could be more surprised when siren head comes out. Very cool experience though!

Loved the atmosphere and loved opening things with a screwdriver. Would absolutely play a game all about getting around with a screwdriver not gonna lie. It was so much fun. Objects you need to pick up were kind of hard to find due to how busy the textures were, but had no problem finishing the demo. Looking forward to new stuff from you! Great Job!

Okay, so this was pretty nice!

First of all: Hello fellow player, this review is mostly written as feedback for the developer, so I recommend you skip it, as it has spoilers for the game, and you would benefit from playing it before reading this. It has a pretty cool creature, manages to build a very eerie atmosphere, really cool graphics, scary sound design and a very simple concept that could easily be expanded. So, go play it! It's awesome! It's a short story and it was made in like 20 days? Awesome work for a short time.

So, now, to the feedback part of this review: Spoilers ahead.

The game, as it is, gets a four star rating from me, but I'd give five if it got to it's full potential.

It starts pretty strong; the first interaction with the creature making it's awful sound when you're about to get to the first clue, the birds flying away, scared, and how we do't know where it comes from, makes for a pretty spooky moment. When you see it for the first time, with it's chromatic aberration effects and standing still before it starts to follow you, that's also pretty scary.

But, personally, I feel that it loses the scare factor during the parts in-between that: the initial exploration doesn't give the player enough time to get quite into it, and the environment linearity and no other sounds from the creature or maybe even seeing it move behind the trees (like "wait, was that siren there before?"),  misses an opportunity to create a sense of urgency during this part. A bit of the same thing for the chase (definitely the man speaking from the siren doesn't make for a scary moment here. Maybe it could sound a bit before you see it for the first time and the chase goes from the siren to the screams).

I don't know if I got a "good" ending the first time i played it or if the scene wasn't triggered in the end, but the last time i played it was the best. I gave the monster some time to get closer during the chase, and I loved the spook when I got to the truck and was ready for the black screen before going back to the menu but the creature got to me. Awesome moment. If there is a "good ending", I suggest getting rid of it because that was pretty scary and awesome.

In the end, it's a great game and I loved it! I hope the development isn't over, because I'd love to see it reach it's potential!
