Really cool take on Agar.io. Maybe a multiplayer or ai option. Good job!

A cool idea to use snake mechanics in your game. The only thing that upset me on my weak computer was the game was very slow, because of this it was unpleasant to control the main character. In general, I liked the game, keep it up!

Great job dude! loved it!

Please consider rating my game too ^^

Great game but really laggy. Networking is a bonus point though. Maybe 2D would be better than 3D because you don't have to calculate the view of the 3d red objects than when you collide with them you die.

Really cool game simple and easy to understand great job!

Interesting concept. Making a multiplayer game for a game jam? You're sick! xD
Great job! Making a multiplayer game in such a short time... wow!

I think most people will have played your game all alone, maybe you can add bots for when the lobbies are empty. Some feedback when I pick up or loose an ant would also be nice (like partical effect and sfx).

I was all alone so it's a little hard to properly grade haha. The concept was cool and really unique, but I would've preferred a little more explanation; for a while I thought the red things were spawning new bugs... then I realized it was taking away the ones I had. Great job making an online game, especially one without an engine, though!

Really laggy, but an interesting idea.
Networking is always a nightmare, so this is some good stuff for a jam game!

I had some lag issues, i don't know is it just my graphic card not handling it well or some other issue. Anyway, pretty nice and simple concept, i like it. Good Job!

Im sorry for the bad experiance you had, The lag is due to a free serverside 1 core hosted on heroku website :) The game is pretty much optimized for any graphic card also so simple, no oddly graphic eating code, you can get the source code from my github and check it out. tnx for playing. <Your GPU is completely fine>

Great game !

I see that you did not use a motor and you use self-made engine. For me it is great as you master every aspects but I am afraid that it could be limitative. For example I had some freezes/lags increasing when the bugs following me and my computer has put himself in "high mode" to manage the resources taken by the game.
Once again, congratulations to make it on your own because it is great, so good submission.

The game is as optimized as possible in 3 days, for more information about where everything is being drawn and how the functionality works you can check the p5js docs here: https://p5js.org/reference/#/p5/draw The game graphical performance is depending on webgl which is directly using your graphic card and all the drawing functions are called inside the draw() method of p5js which will optimize its speed according to your computer resources, basically it means that if your computer needs its power somewhere else, it will slow down my game because the priority is other apps and my javascript app is not on top; also all the logic is written on the server side so cpu is quite resting. If you only open my game and there be no other tabs, games or anything eating your graphic card, your computer will focus on the javascript p5js draw function. You can get the source code from my github and check the client side. Thank you very much for paying attention to qualities like this, I love pro devs like you, Tnx for playing :D

A little difficult for me, but it is an impressive job for this type of competition. GREAT WORK!

Pretty cool! At first I did not see the challenge until I accidentally hit a red lol, however it was well made and I liked how the camera worked! I could see this being like a snake.io type of game

Submitted(+1)

nice game! great music and i enjoyed my time collecting ants. found controls to be a lil difficult but it worked out if i went slow. good job!

Submitted(+1)

Its pretty ok multiplayer game. Its like agar.io and slither.io and i have liked those games when i was younger. Its should have plenty of peoples and leaderboard like those. Leaderboard would be funnier than winning. But yeah nice jam game and nice 3d visuals too.

Nice Concept. Sure came a long way since I last played it.

Developer(+1)

I gotta ask tho, When did you last played it? :?

Submitted(+1)

You send it on the feedback channel on Jonas server. I told you to reduce the physics fps may help the input lag of 1-2s. I don't think I spoke to you since.

Developer

Oh your that guy then! your suggestion saved me a ton of time, tnx

You're welcome.

Creating a jam game without an engine is a really big challenge. I'm impressed! Although split screen or zooming in/out camera local multiplayer seems to be a better idea for a game jam. Sprites of the ants shake very often. Controling the camera rotation with a mouse position is creative!

Oh man the music is super super catchy! I love the effect of the camera and the graphics, good job! Congrats :D Also feel free to check my game :o
