You know, if you'd told me about a reverse Tower Defense game I would have imagined the player being the invasion force, but this is a nice twist as well.

Good job!

Really cool concept and mechanics! Nice work :D

The game concept is addicting. I've also made a tower defense game, but yours is so much better in terms of strategy.

Unfortunately there is only one level, i wanted to play more.

Good job on making the game though.

I was bit confused at first but than it  was fun. The design was great tho!

This was a really good interpretation of the theme and the concept was executed well! The gameplay loop itself was also very strategic in terms of placement due to the depth added by where you place a terminal! The towers could have maybe done with some for of upgrades so there are more elements of the game that need to be focussed on at once creating a managing-a-hectic-situation feel like the graphics would seem from as screenshot. Other than that, overall, I really enjoyed playing and the concept was really implemented, I can definitely recommend playing this game!

Pretty cool! Inverted tower defense, the art was really nice and i liked how the lines covered up the screen at the end, Il say that at the start i was confused about why should i be placing towers, becuase the enemies turned red, i tought it hurted them instead of boosting, so maybe changing the partical effect would help.

good job! :D

I just realized the fire particle effect might confuse some player. Here's my "explanation": When they are burnt, they run fast, trying to get rid of the fire

Yeah, i get it ;)

I love tower defense games, and this is a great twist! The visual design and simple UI immediately drew me in. However, I was confused for about 5 minutes wondering how the core gameplay was supposed to work. The reason for this is that in the tutorial, when placing your prisms, the game does not force you to place them in the indicated boxes. I placed my towers in a more traditional tower defense location, and had no idea the enemies needed to walk THROUGH the lines to get lit on fire.

I would also appreciate being able to see the node's range while I'm placing prisms, with confirmation about whether they'll be powered or not.

I enjoy the speedboost mechanic, it gives me something to do while I'm waiting for more money!

So far my high score is 212, but I hope to keep playing :D

Right, I forgot to explain one of the most important mechanic, I showed it, but didn't explain it.

One possible fix could be to simply force the player to place their towers in the marked zones during the tutorial!

It's a good game

Take a genre (tower defense). Inverse the goal. There you have it, a nice and polished (for a game jam) game that fits the topic!

Submitted

Cool concept :D!

Kept playing the game to get more enemies to the finish. Fun to play and I like strategic games and this has that also.

Visual style was nice too and very coherent throughout the game.  Audio fit well also.

Maybe some more tower type options for more strategic decisions.

But enjoyed playing it. Job well done!

In the end you can have (if you play it smartly) the field filled burners and you can do nothing other than watch, and maybe go around and boost the few enemies that passed your defenses. The game is really fun, and i bed that with a bit of balancing (and maybe more different types of towers) i could see myself playing this game for weeks non-stop!! Awersome Entry, Good Job!!

This is a fascinating take on tower defense. Other than some minor polishing here and there, my main feedback is more maps and adjustable timers/enemy densities/etc. Some sort of customizability for rounds would make this even better.

Great work!

(edit: added a period I forgot)

A lot more interesting than I thought it would be. Could see myself playing more of it.

Wow! This concept is so cool! The tower defense system feels super polished! The visuals were great too. The prism mechanic took a little bit of figuring out since the tutorial doesn't explain how to properly utilize them. Still, though, this was super fun! Great job!

Submitted

Hey! This was a ton of fun, I'd love to see it iterated on for more ways to speed up enemies and mess with them. Love the atmosphere the whole thing has <3

Submitted

Fun game with a very creative take on the topic. I think it has potential to be a full game with more levels and towers.

Submitted

I really like the idea and gameplay! It could use some extra tower types but what it currently has feels quite good!

awesome do you have a youtube

???

Developer

I got a youtube channel but haven't use it for a long time

Cool game idea, I like it! You seem to really like tower defense games! The tutorial was well done, and I liked how you could seamlessly go from the tutorial to the gameplay. I'm not sure what is stopping me from just putting the towers in spots where they don't hit the enemies though? I put my conduit and tower where they didn't cross along the path and it didn't seem to negatively affect me in any way. I think for this game concept to work, you need to add incentives for the player to make a wide reaching power network that needs to cross the grid. Maybe there's power spots that you need to connect to a main conduit, forcing you to cross the enemy's path. Just an idea though! I think that the turret idea would be really cool in a normal tower defense game too!
