You can set the “Background Opacity” to 0 in the options, this will make the picture that is created when going into the menu basically completely transparent on a black background.
TY for the answer! I'm profoundly embarrassed to realize that for once, I forgot to switch the "basic menu setting" toggle to ON (despite editing its values). Oops!
