A solution to every problem in the game nobody is aware about, the console. Just type in sv.target [SATELLITE_NAME] and the compass will turn to it. (i'm pretty sure it was sv. but if not, check the right side of the console)
'sv.target alpha' also works for this, I'm pretty sure both the points are identical or close enough. I just mention this because it's easier to remember for me (and maybe other players who read this) as it uses the same naming scheme as any other target you'd be pointing the compass to
