You're not wrong about Mana's mom. Asking about how she's been between Sunday and the current point in time in-game would have made sense. It just didn't happen.. yet. But as I said, it's about to happen in the upcoming Mana/Hina scene. Sure, it could've been earlier, but I feel like it doesn't make that much of a difference.
This honestly probably comes from how I am as a person, though - I likely wouldn't have asked before seeing Mana in person, either; a conversation like that is best had eye to eye, imo. Buuuut, that's probably also influenced by my knowing that it'll become a whole conversation point instead of a quick side question during a chat.
Anyway, you're right, it's not too important either way - I just felt like explaining where I come from with it. There's not really any right or wrong to these things anyway. They either are or aren't. :P
What's wrong with Mr. Scott's model, though? He's from some game or another, isn't he? :D
