This game surprised me, I didn't expect it to be this good from just a look at the screenshots
What I loved about this game:
- 50's Aesthetics and references
- Cafe Jazz Music (Fits well with detective memory game)
- The game doesn't coddle the player (Got sent back to the menu when i said No, maybe or not sure haha!)
- Graphics reminded me of GTA Vice City (Good memories ahh...)
- Game Dev reference and the banging on the table (made me uncomfortable, so added to the experience)
- Love the replayability aspect as details change in the scenes
- 3D rewind effect and scene transitions
- Hearing Correct! is satisfying after alots of bangs on the table (Love the contrast between the two)
- Dance at the end (Reminds me of Pulp Fiction)
Improvements
- I can't suggest anything much since I feel like you guys made the game close to perfect
- Timer in the questioning phase would add more pressure in the interview
- Some character dialog's in the scenes (Would be great to catch on some clues as well)
- The detective ask about what changed in his office at the end of the questioning (so player has to recall the intro scene again)
Bugs
- No bugs found, Well Done!
Thanks for making this amazing game guys, it felt like a very polished game that fits the theme well. Even made me realize how little detail I take into account in my own life. Good Job Team , this game is in my Top 5 list in the Jam. 5 stars all the way through. :D
