Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Visual clarity and difficulty balancing are definitely things I would have loved to focus more on if I had the time. It's definitely going to be a top priority for me in my future game jams.
This was really fun! I think the interpretation of the theme was clever, and I liked when I could launch myself super fast. Also, the text that appeared just saying "Drugs" was hilarious. I just think the game could do with some music and a little more polish in the menus, but other than that, nice game.
This is my first game jam ever, and I would love to get some feedback! Here's my game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3342964
Obviously, I'll play and rate yours as well!
Really impressive game!

If you get the chance, here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3342964
It's my first jam game ever. It has a 4-minute-long or so cutscene at the start--if that's too long I understand. That being said, I would really appreciate it!

I'll check out yours.
I'm glad you liked it!
And thank you for teaching me the importance of playtesting, hahaha! The vases originally used to break a lot easier, but I ended up increasing their "minimum break velocity" near the end of development and forgot that it created a loophole. So no, it wasn't intended, but nice thinking!

Have fun!
Edit: played your game and it was hilarious, nicely done
Also my first jam! Here's mine. Going to try out yours now. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3342964
Edit: I played, rated, and left a comment on your game. It was quite fun!
The puzzles really impressed me for a jam game, because good puzzle design is often so much harder than even polishing a game. I appreciate how much thought went into making such clever solutions (and I'm still proud of myself for beating the third level so quickly!) The "loading" animations are also fun to watch. Great work!
Your game has such a funny concept, good work!
Here's mine, if you have time: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3342964
Nice game!
I think potions requiring "ranges" like energy, toxicity, etc, is a really unique way to go about things.
The icons for the ingredients also look quite nice. However, I think the shop menu could do with slightly better formatting, as some of the icons and prices overlap each other. I also think it could have fit with the theme better if there were worse consequences for making the wrong kind of potion, as currently it seems things can go wrong without much consequence. Other than that, I think you have a really cool take on a potion-making game! great work
Thank you for playing!
This was my first jam, but next time I know to keep intro dialogue concise and skippable. Now that I understand people want to rate games quickly, I can see how having a long intro is a problem where for a normal full-length game it might be acceptable. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
I'm glad you liked the game!
I intended to keep the level a bit dim to get across that idea of being in a museum closed for the night. Although, I'm aware that some monitors treat dark colors a little differently, which can make it difficult to see. Next time I make a dark game like this, I'll add a brightness slider. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you!
I wanted to walk the player through the mechanics at the start as a little tutorial, but I didn't end up having enough time. Also, I hear you about the cutscene--if I ever update the game after this jam the first thing I'll do is shorten it a bit and add a skip button. Glad you liked the game!
I love it! Very reminiscent of Papers Please with the high stakes and how the complexity slowly ramps up. The art is great (I appreciate a consistent color palette) and the subtle glow on the UI is a nice touch. Other than that, I think it would be cool if the NPC varied his dialogue a little more every day.
Good work!
