I'm floored you both had the time to make such a near-flawless character controller and design such a robust world around it. This is EASILY the best looking and most technically competent game I've played from this jam by far.

I'm not particularly compelled by the theme integration, but everything else around it is beyond perfect. Seriously, well done!

I *deeply* appreciate how lenient it is if you make a mistake. Rather than outright forcing the player to restart from the beginning, there's a fun chaotic scramble to get back on track and try to reset the energy bar by going down the right path. A lot of games in this jam interpreted "nothing can go wrong" as "be perfect or you lose", which invokes a lot of blisteringly difficult games that are hard to get into, so this one is a huge breath of fresh air.

Great entry!! I really hope this makes it up there into the top ranks at the end of the voting period :)

While it isn't the grandest of games, it's still nice that you were able to submit something :) 6 days ahead of the deadline too! Well done.

I, in fact, was not fine :(

Good entry! I like the aesthetics and how the player controls. I was unable to escape, but regardless, good game :)

My final score was 372, with a brain fully devoured :) This is a *shockingly* competent entry for two people to make from scratch within a week, so huge praises for that. The theme interpretation is fine, but the IMMENSE amount of polish really elevated the experience for me. Really big fan of this one, I hope this gets into the top ranks at the end of the voting period :)

I appreciate the suspense :) I wish the audio was given a little more attention, but I understand it tends to be an afterthought in game jams (our entry being no exception lol)

While it isn't particularly functional, I agree with the other comment that not using a traditional game engine is respectable. I hope the development experience was a greater learning experience than it was stressful :)

Loooove the art in this one :)

I unfortunately wasn't able to find the key to the last door, so I wasn't able to escape :(

My score was 104.25s :) I got extremely lucky and only got two writing prompts the whole time, the second of which killed me

Huge fan of this one. The rapid pace at which you can witness things going wrong, and at which you can resolve what went wrong, made the experience frictionless and put a smile on my face from start to finish.

I WAS PROMISED NOTHING WOULD GO WRONG (great game btw)

The art is SUPER charming. Big props to the artist(s) :)

The amount of ideas that the game plays with is impressive, it really keeps things fresh as you play :)

The devlog was a really interesting read. Part of me thinks it'd be neat if jam participants were encouraged to write about their experience in a devlog and include it as a txt file like you did, as that would both help the participant figure out what went right and what went wrong during the jam, and would allow players of the participant's entry to learn from the experiences of others.

I could feel the clown's expression in my soul when the game cranked it up :') ended up only getting 106s because I neglected the dang juggling. I love how aesthetically cohesive the game is, great job!

Cute art style :) I kinda wish you started at the level you ended on, rather than going back to the start of the game. Had fun regardless, though!!

The game looks and feels great to control, I really liked this one. I was quite confused for a while at first when it asked for a bottle of water, and I didn't see any bottle-y ingredients to use. However, I realized after looking at the screenshots that there was a lot of stuff off-screen because I was playing in the itch.io window, rather than playing fullscreen.

So just a heads up to anyone else playing that you've gotta play in fullscreen to play the game properly :)

Cute!!!! I really appreciate a short & sweet experience that puts a smile on my face and ends without overstaying its welcome.

Man I'm not very good at this lmao, I couldn't even make it past one round

Love this take on the theme! I found it quite hard, and I wish there wasn't a lives system so I could spend time experimenting with solutions in each level without having to replay the early ones. Regardless, I had a lot of fun with this one!

It's a cool idea to split development up such that one person on the team makes each minigame, I kinda feel inspired to do a similar thing on our future projects haha

I was promised a fun and safe working environment, and yet explosions are all I know :')

Quite ambitious for a game jam team with little unreal experience! I got caught :( had fun regardless!

Cute game! I failed at the boss fight :( but had fun regardless!

(1 edit)

Accidentally smited everyone lol. I liked this one, good job :)

Great game! I love how the game doesn't hold your hand with specific things like the student-of-the-month listings on the back wall, you have to figure that out for yourself.

I got HELLA jumpscared the first time I got caught glancing :')

The voice acting put a big smile on my face :) good job!

I shudder to think how wrong it could have gone if I had waited another 50 seconds...

My score was 2496 :) amusing game! I feel like there was actually some level of strategy I started employing on my second attempt, where I realized I could utilize the time slowdown from destroying the baskets and bikes to take a moment and process the larger entities that were coming. I nearly had an unbroken combo :')

I got completely shredded a little over a minute in, haha. I didn't pick up on the Nothing Can Go Wrong theme too much, but I think it's a satisfying little experience :)

Getting grilled over the leaving the curtains open with the A/C on broke my soul lol

I love the visuals and audio! The gameplay I had a hard time figuring out, but overall I was a fan :)

My score was 83m :) the reveal at the end where it pans to the bottom and shows every piece of furniture I let fall down made me laugh. Great game!

The vibes of this game are immaculate :) the silly music, the goofy run animation, the noises that play when more monsters get added, it all put a smile on my face

Genuinely had fun with the platforming on this one. The character feels satisfyingly weighty, and the coyote time is much appreciated :) Murphy got the best of me...

Nice job making everything yourselves! It's very polished for a week-long jam.

The polish is *pristine*. The 3D assets + music were utilized really effectively, making the game simply a pleasure to look at.

I didn't really understand how fixing the color worked, so I brute-forced the solution to those. Really liked this entry!

Quite difficult! I got to level 5 before calling it quits. Really fun :)
