If the title instructions were not clear:

I am trying to get ANY feedback on my SPOOKY GAME! The game is still in early development, but THAT's when you NEED feedback to know what works and what doesn't to keep the good and rework the bad!

https://gamedevover.itch.io/shadow-demo
Feedback on the "POTENTIAL" and the core of the game would be the best, but all is appreciated!
I have not had much luck getting peoples FEEDBACK so IF you do give it a try, I would LOVE to know what you think about the game!

(And since there is not many people helping so far...  YOU will be practically a CO-DEV of the game :D)

PS: Most of the elements of the game are placeholders, from the cutscenes and the TUTORIAL, to animation and interactions...
So if you do get stacked, please contact our CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTRE for help 24/7!
(It is TOTALLY NOT just my Twitter link, because I work SOLO, and have to manage ALL aspects of the game...that's just a common misconception!)

Hi!
I need YOUR HELP to IMPROVE the SPOOKYNESS of my game (and monster) SHADOW!

I recently started making this ART videos, to show different CONCEPT ART, about how my monster will hunt you down.
IF any of you have any SUGGESTIONS on what makes you scared (in MOVIES or GAMES) I will scientifically extrapolate your feedback to make the PERFECT SPOOKING MACHINE!

(100% legit science mambo-jambo "insert technical words here" proven method!)

Also, as in my last video, I will be making MORE ART based on YOUR IDEAS, so feel free to tell me WHAT do you want to see next commenting your SPOOKY SUGESTIONS!

Damm! , Thank YOU! haha
I appreciate you saying it deserves it, you made my day! Sadly I'm not having much luck getting any traction or people trying it...
(Not even with the game related content on my YT channel)

But I got one more person that likes it now, Silentius!

And hey! IF know someone that may like that type of game feel free to share it!

Awesome game!

Really like the movement and the level design!

  • If you are looking for small things to improve:
The "q" "d" were not hard to get used on my keyboard but alternative layouts (like LMB/RMB) could help
  • the music is cool but maybe addition of backgrounds (not too complex) could help with the feeling of progression and speed (the gameplay is cool but the looks makes it a bit repetitive)
  • Since is all about the gameplay and repetition, make the death start over faster (or instantly) to keep the cycle fast and addicting
  • maybe blocks that behave differently could have different color coating (going back to the progression look thing)
  • for some reason i think pixel-retro music style would match this game cubes (and if you ad like "explosions" with cube particles when crashing would add that flare as well!
  • The progression number is cool , but having to look away from the ball for a split second may me die some times (maybe a end indicator on the track like a line or a color icon could make it more visual and intuitive!)

But the game was fun! KEEP UP the cool work!

I know how hard is to get feedback for games... I am trying but not having much luck on mine, so I'm happy to help if you need more!

Thank you so much for the feedback! Really appreciate your help! If there are more thoughts you would like to share I will happy to hear what you think!
Even if is about the art style or even YouTube channel! (Everything helps! )

Thank you SO MUCH for checking it out! The animation is just a placeholder but I'm happy that you liked it! I had to rush it out but the final one will have a better introduction of the story

If you would like to see more art about the game your feedback and comments would really help!

hi everyone!
if by any chance someone would like to give my game a try, I could really use some feedback on my last update!
(hopefully this one makes the game easier for beginners)

THANK YOU so much for your FEEDBACK!!

Sorry that some aspects of the game are not very well explained yet (like the bridge) I had to lock the demo area somehow but in the final game you will be able to interact with the bridge!
And I need to re-work the lamp charging since people have experienced issues with it (to charge a lamp hold down the charging button WHILE having the hand close to the lamp!)
I will try to improve the game and have all your concerns fixed for the next update!

If you would like to get some additional feedback on the art style or "scary"ness of the game, feel free to comment to give me ideas and suggestions!

NEW 2.0 Rework of the SHADOW Game (Demo) is available!

This game is a First-Person / Exploration / "Shooter" / SPOOKY / Co-op game!

Feel free to tell me your opinion! Will be happy if anyone would give it a try :D

FEEDBACK: (100% interaction guaranteed!)
