Go home, Spider-tron, you're drunk.
Human! You are about to become a sword robot! · By
I just played endless mode until level 14 (new high score), Spider-tron 6000 was the only one alive. I was the last clone with the upgrade 'Get Up', I was confident. I'm was on the other side of the arena, I shoot an arrow, it hits one of the eyes. I jet-pack towards Spider-tron 6000 and swing at it's legs then I got knocked back, stood up then knocked back again. I draw my bow, fire! I miss. I go up to it's metallic legs, swing. Spider-tron 6000 is on the ground, me too. Blasted across the tower, I jet-packed my way across the fallen archers. Spider-tron 6000 blows his final wave of bombs and it lands right next to me. Boom!! I fell off the tower. I landed painfully on the saw tracks. Slice! I got cut in half by a saw. I died from an one eyed Spider-tron 6000 by itself. This was level 14. I was heart-broken. If I won that fight, I would got an upgrade, meet Upgrade-Bot again and tell him/her (I never knew the gender) stories of the mighty fight of me and Spider-tron and that I barely survived. I could of told my friends I made it into Titanium Stage (starts in level 15). No, I died from a petty Spider-tron 6000 and the help of the Annoying Saw. Very Emotional Story, I know. (True Story, happened today).
Just saying this sounds like Calypso. Calypso was Upgrade-Bot and I was the never ending heroes that keeps on dying or leaving. I know this isn't funny or an screen shot but I say someone else who wrote a sad story. Something about an Australian and a Spider-tron 5000/6000. I'm Australian which is weird (I think these two are connected).
(I guess Upgrade-bot was a girl then).
I was having fun in Endless mode one day, chopping endless amounts of robots to bits, when i died on level 16. It was one of those Titanium progressive 3-stage jump pad levels (the blocky one, not the building one).
Suddenly, out of nowhere, 3 of the mk 3 sword robots came up to the platform that i died in, and started swordfighting over my corpse.
I kid you not, this image is proof of them fighting each other.
Before you ask, yes I did put this in the bug report thread. I just thought it was funny that they malfunctioned like this.
Ideas for additions are best posted in the proper forum section. Erik is more likely to find them that way, but he'll read them here as well undoubtedly, once he checks posts. I don't have much creative sway like a producer or anything, but I know Erik is open to suggestions from anyone, and tries to consider them as equally as if it were an idea he thought of (It has the same weight, objectively I mean, not that he's a thief.) - Thanks for them, by the way. It's the best feeling in the world to have people interested in where a project you're working on goes :-)
I'm not wasting time to explain everything I've posted, so here's a link. i list abilities by first buy-able to last unlockable.
i have another class idea: the Warlord. the Warlord wields that hammer and has several other abilities his abilities would be:
Passive:when its only a few tough enemies left, he enters a frenzy, surrounding his hammer head with laser energy. his overall movement speed is reduced by 10%, and is applied to you even during his frenzy
Super Smash: releases an area of effect hammer smash that either knocks enemies to the ground or unbalances them really hard. takes 2 energy to use
Hammer Spin: allows the player to spin in a 360` arc, launching and hurting all enemies. takes 1 energy and requires the player to hold the attack button for a couple seconds.
Rocket Launcher: you rocket at the enemies and swing your hammer upward, sending the enemy (or whats left of him) flying. takes 2.5 energy and requires jet-pack and 3 total energy.
just something i came up with.
This is just the initial implementation. The sounds and animations aren't quite done, just the damage model. Things will be adjusted for feel during testing. The update is a little over three weeks away, so the next two will be all about adding and adjusting things to the game. - I agree that it's really OP right now :-)
probably not unless they get way ahead of schedule
making the hammer 10% slower will help alot. i think its not true, sadly. i can predict enemy movements and time it better, soo either it gets slower and people do worse, or it can be worse to swing faster. or it can be the exact opposite
my idea of classes make certain things look op, but it isn't. its all sort of balanced when you think of it. something easily counters this class, like a ninja being to fast for the knight, but berserkers bring him down fast with stun and execution. or just timing his throwing axe right. and the knight counters a berserker easy, having a shield to block axes and throwing axes, and spin attacking him.
and then adding some enemies based off alll the classes is a unique challange

Just your average game.
