For now: Translating and Writing

Hey folks.

My goal with this project has always been to pump out regular episodic content and I feel that I'm nearly at a stage of organization in which I can comfortably do that but for the time being I'm still playing around with ideas and adjustments to the eventual process. This means tidying up how I do things (Particularly the code) to make them as efficient as possible moving forwards.

Part of this is translation - Previously, I had been writing everything directly into the game's sprawling code but in running a couple of trial translations (such as Japanese.) it makes clear how important it is to write all the game's dialogues in a clearer and less chaotic way.

I'm also busily writing up other chapters that have been in my mind for some time. Some of them feel like a fundamentally different game than the previous chapter and i like that about them. I want to be able to completely reinvent things as I go along. It keeps it fresh and fun in my head. .

Chapter Three, for example, is all about gambling and games within a seedy club which means that I may implement systems for actually playing these games or at least a way of interacting with cheaters that feels more exciting than the current interrogation interface.
Most of all, I'm just remembering to have fun again. Looking forward to moving in unpredictable directions.
