Update for Locked and Away

Hello everyone!
It has been 3 years since I posted the demo for Locked and Away.

I wanna explain the situation for why I disappeared  but first I want to clarify that I’m returning to Locked and Away!

When I started this project I was in my senior year of high school, I would work on this project in my spare time. I was very inexperienced and I was learning the engine one step at a time having to spend a whole day trying to figure out a mechanic or an event. I got really excited the more time I spent making the game I made a kickstarter for it which is a huge pitfall due to not completely understanding how ambitious of a project I was trying to create. I spent 500 dollars on art for the game and I asked for 200 dollars on kickstarter thinking that would fund my project. Reality hit me when I was close to my goal that I was promising way too much for 200 dollars, that I needed to take more time working on my project before asking for money. Gladly the project wasnt funded it was 20 dollars away from the goal and all the money was returned and I’m very thankful for that.

The main reason for why the project was put on hold was because the computer I was using for the project died and all the files I had for the project got messed up I lost a lot of my heart for spending 80 hours on a project for it just to disappear out of thin air. From the point of the demo I continued for two more floors making 3 floors in total.

Locked and Away is being created from a fresh start with a new outlook and tons of more plans for this project I have an artist i’m working with to make this game a unique experience and changing the format for how the game will be structured thank you to all who were excited when I released the demo and I hope that Locked and Away is something you can be able to look forward to .
