Why have I been on a hiatus?

If you're wondering why I haven't been updating my games as much or been less active, there are a few reasons for this (and no, it's not because I got bored of game development altogether).

For starters, I have been working on other projects behind the scenes. If you have noticed my description on my itch.io page, you might know that it says "My favorite game genres are Fighting games and RPGs, so expect to see a lot of those". The problem is, I currently have no RPG games posted, so it doesn't make sense.  None of my RPG projects are polished enough to upload to itch.io yet, so I have been trying to catch them up so I could.

Additively, coding also takes a lot of time, most of the time longer than expected. I don't want to rush out any projects since I prefer quality over quantity. Especially with my most popular game at the time (Super Mario Bros Z: Battle of the Best), if I were to force out a meager update to say "oh yeah, this game's not dead", most people wouldn't like that.  Hopefully, you're OK with waiting a long time for a fixed-up and polished game, rather than me just throwing out random games with no character that are buggier than a bed bug infestation.

Lastly, sometimes I don't like a game anymore and move on to a new one. I have over 300 projects on Scratch, but most of them are either unfinished or scrapped because they just didn't feel right and I'd rather start over than try to fix every problem I have with the game. This issue causes me to take even longer to upload something to itch.io, or basically anywhere.

Hopefully, this is a good enough explanation as to why I have not been as active as usual, and I hope you understand what I'm dealing with here.

Ooga Booga, take as long as you need bro.

nice to know there's still game developers that are willing to work on projects until its actual completion instead of giving us a buggy mess of a game! :)
