Hi!

Since you seemed to enjoy my last post, I've decided to try to be more active around here :-) I've answered some interesting Tumblr asks last week, so here's a couple I really liked:

Q: What do the ROs think when they hear that The Hedonist will rejoin Court?

A: You'll see everyone's reactions in the next chapter, but here's a rundown:

Worried/Disappointed

Val

Harry (non-exile route)

Camila is worried this won't turn out well. Val is both worried (though he'd never ever admit it) and disappointed. Part of him thought The Hedonist wouldn't actually go back.

A non-exile route Harry is worried for both Evie and The Hedonist.

Excited

Narcissa

Calvin

The Hedonist is infamous around Court, even after their exile. These two are very interested to see what happens now that they're back.

Afraid/Excited/Happy/Confused/Nervous

Harry (exile route)

No explanation needed, I don't think.

Unsure how to feel

Sabina

She can clearly tell The Hedonist is a lost soul, but she thinks maybe close proximity to their family will help them. She doesn't know what to think yet

Q: How healthy was actually the relationship between the hedonist and Augustus?

A: You're actually the first person to bring this up, which is interesting because I've never seen The Hedonist and Augustus' relationship as healthy! So I'd say I view it as unhealthily codependent, not to mention a tad manipulative from Augustus' side; he'd constantly write to The Hedonist, claiming they had to break up and leaving The Hedonist upset and anxious, only for Augustus to make up with them in the next letter.

As for The Hedonist, though, I don't think they'll ever be able to see past their love and nostalgia for their relationship. Augustus was their first love, and they have a lot of great memories from the relationship (I think it helps most of it happened by letter and not in real life).

(As a sidenote, this is why Evie warned The Hedonist against Augustus. She didn't see it as healthy.)
