Devlog - 2 | Pitching a Game

Our task this week was to pitch our games to our team and decide on what we are moving forward with. We ended up having some overlap and similarities between a few of our games, either in theme or gameplay goals. With the main themes being social media, disinformation, and fake news. After a lot of discussion, we decided to choose one game and iterate on its ideas using some pieces from each other's games, and we are going to iterate on it of course, and make it our own.

So the main topic now is, what are we going to change about the game we selected? Well, the pitch we decided on was more narrative focussed, while the others were a little more gameplay focussed. So, the plan is to include the strong narrative elements and add gameplay to them under the context of that narrative.

Hey Kalen! I do like the idea of merging together some ideas since there's some overlap, this way the whole team has something they're passionate about working on in the project! It will be interesting to see the narrative and gameplay elements come together in this game, I'm looking forward to hearing more about it :)
