December Devlog

Hello!

Isn't it hard to believe we're almost at the last two weeks of 2023 already? To end off this year, here's what I've been working on...

The full demo for Untitled Knight Game is complete! Sadly, I'm very much not eager to try and release a project on Steam right in the midst of the Christmas holidays, so I'll be launching it in January 2024.

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to talk about it very much or give you a date until now, but I promise you'll be hearing about it a lot in the coming year! I have lots that I'd love to share in future devlogs once you've gotten the chance to play it yourself, from writing the dynamic music tracks, to recording armour sounds with a real life knight in shining armour...

The story follows you, a nameless ghost who awakens in a suit of armour, with no memories of who you were or what happened to the ruined castle around you. You'll explore the place, slowly regaining your memories, and piece together-or rewrite-your story.

Who says the tale has to end with your death?

The game will be three chapters long, and the demo covers all of chapter one, about 40mins - 1hr playtime. There are two (and a half) endings that you can find for now, with plenty more in the full game.

Kit

Kit will also get an update later in 2024, with a brand new look (and full body character sprites). Here are a few WIPs for now:

Game Jams

At the time of writing I'm staring at my unfinished Winter VN Jam/Once Upon A Time Jam entry and wondering if there's any way in hell I can complete it in time.

It's a romance story with a vampire love interest, and it's a fairy tale-but it is anything but a fairy tale romance. It's a cat-and-mouse story, it's a story of obsession and doing questionable, possibly unforgivable things to a corpse, it shouldn't make you feel warm and cozy (it's making me feel chills and mild panic).

You may or may not see it out by the new year. If not, well, there's always Otome Jam...

And that's it from me!

I hope that you're able to relax and spend some time with your loved ones as the year comes to a close. Thank you for joining me, and take care!

-Eli

I can't wait to play your new demo. I'm interested in the premise of a ghost possessing a suit of armor :0
